Rockland Rowing Association

Happy National Coaches Day! 🚣🩵

Behind every athlete’s progress is a coach who believes in them. Today, we celebrate our coaches for their dedication, passion, and love for rowing—and for showing up every day to help our athletes grow, build confidence, and find joy in the sport.

To every coach who has been part of Rockland Rowing, thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and heart with our team. Each of you has helped make this program what it is today, and we’re grateful for the difference you’ve made on and off the water. 🩵

What a weekend for Rockland Rowing! 🚣🩵

Incredible racing at Head of the Riverfront! Our novice team competed in their first regatta, and our varsity team had amazing results. So proud of everyone!

Our masters also had a fun weekend racing at Head of the Passaic! Despite a tricky moment with a bridge and another boat, they finished with the second-fastest time! 🙌

Thank you to all our parents and coaches for everything you do to support our team!

🎉 25 YEARS OF ROCKLAND ROWING!

On November 12, 2026, we’re bringing together our athletes, alumni, families, and community at the Nyack Seaport for RRA’s 25th Anniversary Gala & Awards Dinner! 🥂✨

This will be a very special night celebrating 25 years of RRA, recognizing our incredible athletes, honoring our co-founders Peter Fernberger and Bronwyn Woodhead, and thanking the board members whose years of service have helped make RRA what it is today.

This year, we’re also working toward a BIG goal: raising $100,000 for new boats! 🚣‍♂️ Many of the boats in our fleet were already secondhand when we purchased them and have now served generations of Rockland rowers. It’s time to put new boats on the water for the next generation. 🩵

There are so many ways to support:
⭐️ Attend the Gala
⭐️ Become an Event Sponsor
⭐️ Purchase a Program Ad
⭐️ Donate an Auction Item
⭐️ Support our New Boat Campaign — including opportunities to sponsor and name a boat!

Every ticket, donation, sponsorship, and contribution makes a difference for our athletes and the future of RRA.
