Some days I forget why I do what I do. This one popped up as a reminder. Been doing this for a while, but this was just 12 years ago. Seems like a blink of the eye to me anyway. Still doing the same s**t.

Done with this one.

Should be done tomorrow. Need to take a short breather and see about hooking up the laser. We shall see if that's in the cards or not.

There are a couple of guys that I built stuff for that stopped responding or I simply don't have contact info for. I still have probably 2 months worth of work on the build list. The pair in the pic below are being worked on now.

Did this more than 10 years ago, unfortunately the Ducati snobs were not impressed since it wasn't built in Europe. 1299 duc V-twin, I think made 185-190 HP. Only made one and never finished the second one. I guess sticking with the Buell thing was a good choice.

More XB and 1125 RT-4's for today.

Took long enough to get here. Was supposed to be here yesterday, courier truck broke down somewhere out west of here. Finally made it to the Stl hub at 10:30 this morning, they weren't going to even attempt delivery until next week. Nope, not happening, I got a truck, will travel to get it. Just under 300 lbs. Anyway, about the machine and what it's for. Raycus 3000 watt fiber laser 4 in 1, so it cuts, cleans, removes rust and welds. All I really wanted it for was the super clean cuts on 304 stainless steel. It's probably WAY more power than I need, but it's better to go big rather than regret the purchase later when it's not enough. It will still be a while before this is operational, I need to do some wiring to connect it to my current plasma table for the conversion to the laser. Then a lot of testing to figure out speeds/feeds on it for dross free cuts. I have a fair bit of material already cut and ready to weld, so I won't be posting anything else about this for a while. This should be fun! 😀

XB and 1125R systems in the works today. Just imagine what I could do if I had a dedicated and full time shop with plenty of space available *and* with enough time to get it all done. Who knows, I might even be able to supply a cool American motorcycle company with some cool bits to race with? Maybe when I "retire" I'll do that.
