We had planned to wait until we'd had a few more rehearsals under our belt before sharing any videos, but we were so excited about the energy in the room during our very first rehearsal that we couldn't keep this one to ourselves. 🤩
Here's a little sneak peek from our very first rehearsal of this inaugural season. It was the first time most of us had ever sung together. We're still getting to know one another and our director, refining our sound, and continuing to lay the groundwork of GraceNote Collective, but we're excited to share the beginning of the journey with you. ✨

The choir is raising funds to support rehearsal space, musicians, music, equipment, and performances for our first season.
There are two ways you can support:
🎁 Make a direct donation through Givebutter (link below). 100% of your donation will support our mission, plus you can get VIP access and some cool swag as a thank you at some giving levels. 😎
🍿 Starting June 30, you can also order gourmet popcorn through Double Good if you prefer some flavor with your giving. 🤤
If you've ever experienced the power of music to bring people together, we'd be grateful for your support.

Tonight, a major storm passed over downtown Chicago while we gathered for the kickoff of GraceNote Collective's inaugural season.⚡️
Inside the historic walls of Quinn Chapel AME, we were safe. We offered a hybrid option for those concerned about the weather, and every choir member and board member was accounted for.
We're grateful for the dedication of this community, for God's protection as everyone traveled to and from rehearsal, and for the shelter provided by a church that has stood faithfully through generations of storms.
As Pastor Troy reminded us: "This church has been here over 130 years... it isn't going anywhere."
Amen and hallelujah! 💛🖤
Where the tenors at? 👀
Like every choir in the world… we need more tenors. 😅🎶
GraceNote Collective auditions are coming up May 28–30, and we’d love to hear from more tenor voices ready to join a community gospel choir rooted in excellence, connection, and joy.
If you’ve got that tenor range, come sing with us!
If you know a tenor, gently pressure them in the comments. 😁

This is why we’re building GraceNote Collective. 🖤💛🎶
One of our favorite parts of the audition sign-up form has been reading why singers are interested in joining GraceNote Collective, and their responses have been so affirming. ✨
Auditions are less than 2 weeks away, so if any of this resonates with you, there’s still time to sign up. (Link below)
