HAPI Drum

Loving the blue in this new handpan shell we just polished and heat treated! 💙.

A little demo on one of two handpans we have on special 30% discount on our website (hapidrum.co) in the scratch and dent section. My oops is your savings 😅. I use a protective film on my tuning hammers and it started wearing out while working on these and left some marks. They play perfectly but have some birth marks now 😁.

Just finished tuning this D Minor handpan thought it would be fun to share how it sounds 😍🎶

Just finished tuning this new 9 note handpan Sierra Scale (derived from E Minor). The top center note is E3. Side notes from lowest to highest are A3, C4, D4, E4, F #4, G4, A4, C5. Octaves of E3, E4 and A3, A4 and C4, C5 are found in the scale adding harmonic sharing and harmonious overlapping of the notes. E Minor Sierra Scale does not have the usual B note in the scale. We really like how soothing and meditative this scale is. It has been challenging figuring out how to fit 9 notes on our shells because of the smaller shell size compared to most 9 note handpans. The benefit though is an instrument with easier to reach notes while in your lap. Next I’ll be working on a F major 9 note scale. Hope it turns out good and I can share that one here as well. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! 🥰😁.

Getting ready for the Holidays? We are too! This is the first stage of shaping the handpan notes with an air hammer. This one should be finished in a week. Hope everyone has a great season this year! .

Turn the volume up to hear this one well. 🔉🔊🎵🎶 Groovey jam Reposted from .
