Congratulations to Janett Miller and Randi Palmieri on successfully completing their Direct Support Professional (DSP) Level II certification from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals - NADSP !



Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the backbone of the community disability services that Employment Source provides to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The NADSP Certification Program is a nationally recognized credentialing pathway that elevates the direct support profession.



Janett and Randi were among the first participants in our pilot program to earn DSP Level I certification and enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to continue their professional growth through DSP Level II certification. The certification program requires DSPs to demonstrate their skills, ethics, and competencies by completing accredited education hours, submitting real world evidence of their work, and participating in reflective practice activities.

Did you know the Coast Guard is the oldest CONTINUOUSLY SERVING maritime force of the United States, even older than the U.S. Navy? Today’s Coast Guard men and women not only control, secure, and defend our borders and maritime approaches, they respond to hurricanes, migrant crises, maritime emergencies, cybersecurity threats, and international security challenges around the globe.

ServiceSource is proud to partner with the U.S. Coast Guard Finance Center in Chesapeake, Virginia, through the AbilityOne Program. Every year, our employees help process thousands of financial documents that support the Coast Guard's mission.

Pinellas County Commissioner Vincent Nowicki visited our affiliate, Abilities of Florida, this week to learn about the Warrior Bridge program and its positive impact on veterans across Pinellas County.

Through Warrior Bridge, veterans can access employment support, community resources, and essential services that help ease the transition from military to civilian life. During his visit, Commissioner Nowicki toured Abilities’ Veterans Mall, which provides clothing, household essentials, and other critical resources to veterans and their families.

Thank you to the Pinellas County Social Action Fund for helping make this work possible, and to Commissioner Nowicki for taking the time to learn more about the needs of local veterans and the partnerships that support them.

Michael Gentry, an employee working on our contract in St. Louis, had two productive days in Columbia, Missouri, at the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) 2026 APSE Missouri Employment Summit.

An experienced advocate for people with disabilities, Michael delivered a breakout presentation titled “My Voice, My Career, My Way” as part of the Pathways to Careers: Voices That Lead learning track. He was also one of four panelists sharing insights with participants on “Getting the Most Out of Your Elected Officials.” Other panelists included disability advocates, organizational leaders, and Missouri State Representative Melanie Stinnett who discussed effective advocacy, communication with policymakers, relationship-building, and ways people with disabilities can participate more directly in decisions affecting their employment and communities.

We appreciate Michael’s willingness to use his time off to share both his professional experience and the value of meaningful employment to help empower more people with disabilities to advocate on behalf of their communities.

Inside The B.E.S.T. Gift Shop, you'll find handmade jewelry, paintings, candles, bags, and other artwork and gifts, all created by adults with disabilities. These artists receive 100% of every sale. Wander in and you may find them at work behind a set of glass doors in the back.

This nonprofit organization — Building Employment Solutions Together (B.E.S.T.) — provides sustainable employment and therapeutic opportunities for adults with disabilities. Senior Program Manager Joel Pace says the shop is busy with visitors on a daily basis.

“We get to meet people from all walks of life, hear their stories, and share our own,” said Pace.

ServiceSource was proud to be a sponsor of the 2026 ACCSES Summer Conference in Washington, D.C. earlier this week. This annual event brings together disability service providers, experts in the field, agency and congressional representatives, and other leaders with insights into disability policy.

This year’s event provided opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the country and learn about the issues shaping our field through engaging sessions and thought-provoking discussions. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!

Losing a job can be challenging, but Ashton was determined to find his next opportunity.

With support from PARC's Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) program and Job Coach Brianna Osborn, he continued building his skills and preparing for the next step in his career.

Today, he is thriving as a member of the kitchen staff at Creekside Senior Living in Bountiful, Utah, where he has quickly become a valued part of the team.

Congratulations, Ashton, on this well-earned success. We look forward to seeing all you'll accomplish in this exciting new chapter.

Our Utah affiliate, PARC, is proud to support the U.S. Marine Corps! Employees working on our kitting contract at PARC recently assembled and shipped 300 Marine Corps Cold Weather Infantry Kits (MCCWIK).

The MCCWIK reduces the load individual Marines or Sailors carry on their body by providing a transportation platform that allows them to move equipment over snow-covered terrain that vehicles can't traverse. Each kit contains more than 20 components – from snow shovels and snow saws to a cook set – all packed with care and precision by our dedicated team.

When the nation calls, the Marines don’t get weather delays. PARC employees are honored to support their mission as they navigate harsh environments. Semper Fi!
