Oceanside is the classic California beach community with its warm sandy beaches, historic wooden pier and Cape Cod-style harbor village complete with unlimited water sports and recreation. Visit Oceanside is the official Conference and Visitors Bureau for the city of Oceanside; promoting travel to the city for both leisure and group visitors. โš”๏ธ Did you know Zorro once rode through Oceanside?

In the summer of 1957, Mission San Luis Rey became the backdrop for four episodes of Disneyโ€™s Zorro, starring Guy Williams. ๐ŸŽฌ

And you can still spot a few pieces of the series at the Mission today. ๐Ÿ‘€ Look for the skull and crossbones above the cemetery gate โ˜ ๏ธ and the doors featured in the show, now on display in the Mission museum.

Wondering what you might spot off the Oceanside coast this fall and winter with Oceanside Whale Watching? ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‹

Fall and winter bring plenty to look for out on the water, from humpback, minke and fin whales to dolphins that can be spotted year-round. ๐Ÿฌ Pacific white-sided dolphins are also frequent visitors from November through April. And every so often, you get an extra-special surpriseโ€ฆ like the orca spotted this past weekend! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿซ
