America's top solar contractors are veterans now.
Solar Power World published its 15th anniversary Top Solar Contractors List this July, ranking US companies by kilowatts installed in 2025. The most telling number in this year's edition is not a capacity figure. It is tenure.
1. Over 72 percent of the companies on the 2026 list have at least 10 years of experience in solar, and 58 percent have more than 15 years across solar, storage and energy construction.
2. The ranking spans the full market, from Quanta Services at the top with more than 6.1 million kW installed in 2025 to hundreds of utility, commercial, community and residential contractors nationwide.
3. The list lands as the United States passes 6 million individual solar installations, a milestone confirmed by SEIA.
For residential and C&I installers competing against bigger names, the list doubles as third-party proof of work: Solar Power World checks submitted kilowatts against state interconnection and utility records. And ten years in this industry means a company has worked through tariff cycles, interconnection backlogs and incentive resets, and kept crews on roofs through all of it. Congratulations to every company that earned a place on this year's list.
We read rankings like this closely because the companies on them decide how American solar gets built.

Royal Oak, Michigan had never had a solar installation. Now there are 300 panels on the roof of its public library.

Michigan Solar Solutions installed the array in May on our South Face System. The panels are expected to produce over 200,000 kWh of offset energy a year and save the library around $28,000 annually.

The library set out to be an example of sustainability for its community. Glad our racking gets to be part of that.

Royal Oak Public Library shows sustainability - C & G Newspapers ROYAL OAK — The Royal Oak Public Library has installed 300 solar panels the week of May 18 on the top of the building as part of its 2026 year one strategic implementation plan.

Reminder: C&I Training 2026 is almost here.
