We celebrated our dog Meatball’s 8th birthday this past weekend! Since adopting him 3 years ago, we have thrown him a themed birthday party every year. This year’s theme was Jurassic Bark after the classic movie Jurassic Park. 🦖

I somehow always forget to take lots of videos and photos, which is why I always hire a photographer to capture these special moments.

I can’t get over how amazing these turned out and I will never regret taking 1 million photos because someday these memories will be all I have left. 🥹

Rest in peace Sam Neill who played the amazing Alan Grant in Jurassic Park. 🦕

A big thank you to our amazing and talented friend Jen with Sit Stay Click by Jen Christensen for capturing these amazing memories of our family and friends. 🥹🩷

We celebrated our dog Meatball’s 8th birthday this past weekend! This year’s theme was Jurassic Bark after the classic movie Jurassic Park. 🦖

A longer than expected thunderstorm ended up changing the plans, but we made the best of it and we were still able to have an amazing party.

There’s still so much to share, including the incredibly adorable photos that our amazing friend Jen with Sit Stay Click by Jen Christensen captured, Meatball opening his birthday gifts, sorting through all the donations people brought for his rescue Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc., and so much more.

Thank you to Brixtix Bakery for Dogs for making the dog cookies and cake!

Stay tuned for more Jurassic Bark adventures! 🦕🩷

I haven’t seen my next door neighbor in a while but he needed help going to the bathroom today!

I’m always happy to help out a friend, especially when they’re cute. 🥰

Did you count how many times I said “Good boy” or “Thank you?” 😂😂😂

Happy 8th Birthday and 3rd Gotcha Day to the best boy and the coolest Mother Fluffer ever! 😎 Meatball has brought so much joy, happiness, silliness, and love into my life that it’s difficult to put into words.

What started off as fostering him for a month, turned into forever. I can’t imagine life without him even though I know that day will eventually come. But until then, I’m going to continue loving him with my entire heart and soul, celebrating everything especially his birthdays, and telling him how much I love him every single day.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been his mom for the last 3 years and looking forward to many more birthdays together.

Happy Birthday Meatball! 🩷🎉

Every time I volunteer at the Nebraska Humane Society, I always hang out with this sweet girl Betty.

She was found as a stray but nobody came to claim her. She’s around 4 years old, sweet, playful, loves to run around and play, and is treat motivated.

When she gets excited and very happy, she can get mouthy (same with me 😁), but is easily redirected with treats or toys.

She’s been on outings and has done great meeting new people including kids. She’s also dog friendly and does playgroup at the shelter. She’s noted to be a confident girl and playful. 🥰

She’s available for adoption at the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, Nebraska.

My dog Meatball got a visit from his grandparents for the first time since being healed from his surgery that he had 10 weeks ago!

His grandparents have visited him several times since surgery, but this is the first time since surgery that he didn’t have to be leashed.

It makes me so incredibly happy to see Meatball so happy and to be able to run around with excitement again.

I think it’s safe to say that he had so much fun and is a very happy boy! 🩷🥹

My dog Meatball played for the first time outside in over 2 months and ended up hurting himself. 😭

He had TPLO (knee) surgery and during this entire recovery up until now he had to be leashed at all times while outside.

He’s now allowed unleashed time outside for short periods of time and can do whatever he wants during that time, but I’m still limiting some things because this Mom is a nervous Nelly.

During his digging playtime, you can hear him yelp, which I immediately thought it was his leg and my heart sank.

I don’t know how many more heart attacks I can survive, but I’m going on about 1 million at this point, which is probably a world record. 😂

After I took a shelter dog from Nebraska Humane Society named Frances to an adoption event last Thursday, I made a video and posted it on my social media like I always do.

Because so many of you liked the video, commented on it, and shared it, her new family saw it and it was the reason why they ended up going to the shelter and adopting her! Thank you so much for your incredible support! 🩷🥹

This is exactly why I share every rescue dog I spend time with because you never know who might get adopted because of it and this is why Cogs Dogs was created! 💜

My dog Meatball got to be unleashed in our backyard for the first time in over 2 months! He had had TPLO (knee) surgery and during his entire recovery up until this point he had to be leashed at all times outside.

His surgeon approved him to have short periods of time unleashed outside and slowly increase it.

I’m still being a helicopter Mom because I’m nervous he’s going to hurt himself, but I know that he’s stronger than before and his healing is healthy too.

I’m hoping the weather stays a little bit nicer because this boy cannot handle the heat and I want to see him enjoy as much time outside as possible.

My heart is so happy seeing him so happy and getting back to normal. 🩷🥹

I volunteered for Nebraska Humane Society and took a certified lap dog to an adoption event last night! Her name is Pat, AKA Patty.

She was found as a stray, and nobody came to claim her. She definitely came from a family, and I cannot believe that nobody came looking for her. 💔

She’s estimated to be around 4 years old and she is the sweetest little thing ever. She did great in a busy crowd, loved strutting around, meeting all the people, sniffing all the things, and eating all the treats.

She’s people friendly including kids of all ages, dog friendly but will avoid certain dogs if she’s nervous or scared but no concerning behaviors.

Pat is available for adoption at the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, Nebraska.

She deserves the very best so please share her story to help be part of her new beginning! 💜
