The budget is out, the workshops are over, and all that’s left is for you to make your voice heard at the Omaha City Budget Hearing!
Your city council needs to hear from YOU about what belongs in our city budget. Need help writing your testimony? Join Clarice at the North Omaha Visitors Center this Friday, August 7th from 10-12 or Gab at Urban Abbey this Sunday, August 9th from 1-3!
As always, our DM’s are always open for questions!
Thanks to all who came out last night for part two of the People’s Budget. Next stop: city hall for the public hearing! We also want to give a huge thanks to Together for hosting us in their new Housing Stability Clinic! 👏
If you want additional support prepping your testimony, members of our coalition are hosting informal drop-in hours to help you get ready.

The wait is over! 🤑 Omaha’s long-anticipated 2027 budget proposal is here. Swipe through to see some initial items our coalition pulled out after a cursory review, and then tap the link in our bio to take a look for yourself.

Note: Our local public schools and transit authority have their own budgets that are passed by their own governing bodies. However, the city still has the opportunity to fund supplemental projects to support schools and transit services.

We won! 💪 While a legal battle from the Attorney General is on the horizon, and we know a $15 minimum wage still isn’t enough, today we celebrate. Your postcards, calls, and emails really do make a difference. We did win. 🙂↕️
