And this dedication extends into all facets of their life, including school, speech, work, and relationships. You know it’s gonna be a great day when you walk into the team room and see Winnie there, joking and hanging out since it’s never a dull moment with her around.

Tournament season is here! We had a great day yesterday at CUNE’s Fall Formal competition.

🖤 Thank you to Concordia University, Nebraska - Forensics for such a fun and smooth season opener! Mavforensics had a small crew but with each class represented yesterday 🤩 and here is how we did:

⭐️ Colin Gibbons - 1st in Informative, 4th in Prose

⭐️ Ruby Bostock - 5th and TOP NOVICE in After Dinner Speaking

⭐️ Skyler Hogan - 5th in Dramatic Interp

We are so grateful for everything Skyler brings to the team! She is such a bright ball of energy, always putting her all into her events and friendships. Her love for speech can only be rivaled by her love for Dancing With The Stars or Marvel. Usually, you can usually find her hanging out in the team room, ready to talk to you about anything! We couldn’t imagine what this team would be like without Skyler!

Where do we begin with celebrating Colin? Not only is he an academic weapon, always working on some crazy mathematical assignments, but he also manages to balance a busy schedule of school, speech, and an internship. Of course, he’s an amazing speaker, and we’re so proud of his accomplishment of making it to IO this last April, on top of the success of all his other speeches. And if you’ve ever gotten to know Colin outside of speech or school, then you know how lucky we are to have someone so considerate and supportive of his friends. He has so much character when it comes to music and musicals, his sense of humor, talking about his favorite video games, and so much more.

It’s time for another MavBirthday, so please help us in wishing one of our JUNIORS, Bri, a happy birthday today!! 🥳

MavForensics wouldn’t be what it is without Bri. Between speech, academics, and even her time as an RA, she’s constantly going above and beyond for her team, friends, and residents. She’s one of the most helpful members of the team, going out of her way to put others first and help with tasks and errands before she’s even asked. And her ability to connect and click with others is on an entire other level, especially when it comes to topics like sports and music and Iowa politics. But most importantly, she has so much passion for all she cares about, and we’re so proud to see how she has grown these past few years. Bri, thank you for your dedication, positivity, and the energy you bring to everyone around you.
