Where do we begin with celebrating Colin? Not only is he an academic weapon, always working on some crazy mathematical assignments, but he also manages to balance a busy schedule of school, speech, and an internship. Of course, he’s an amazing speaker, and we’re so proud of his accomplishment of making it to IO this last April, on top of the success of all his other speeches. And if you’ve ever gotten to know Colin outside of speech or school, then you know how lucky we are to have someone so considerate and supportive of his friends. He has so much character when it comes to music and musicals, his sense of humor, talking about his favorite video games, and so much more.

MavForensics wouldn’t be what it is without Bri. Between speech, academics, and even her time as an RA, she’s constantly going above and beyond for her team, friends, and residents. She’s one of the most helpful members of the team, going out of her way to put others first and help with tasks and errands before she’s even asked. And her ability to connect and click with others is on an entire other level, especially when it comes to topics like sports and music and Iowa politics. But most importantly, she has so much passion for all she cares about, and we’re so proud to see how she has grown these past few years. Bri, thank you for your dedication, positivity, and the energy you bring to everyone around you.

Today is a special day for our team because it’s the birthday of our amazing senior and co-captain!! 🥳🎁 Please help us in wishing Yasmin the happiest of birthdays.

Since Day 1, Yasmin has been an integral part of this team. Admittedly, there are too many stories and things we could share about her in one quick post, so in short, she has managed to make all of us better individuals with her words of encouragement, steady presence, constant wisdom and unmatchable attitude ✨ Over the past few years, we’ve had the opportunity to see her grow as a competitor, as a student here at UNO, as a friend, and as a superstar in and out of forensics. Yasmin is such a beautiful person, inside and out, so thank you for choosing us to be your team. You are the best teammate, jokester, family member, supporter, and advocate. We’re so proud to see all that she has accomplished, and we cannot wait to see all that she does for her final year of undergrad. 💛☀️

That’s a wrap on Mavforensics season 25-26! 🎉✨

The year where the team kept fitting into the same elevator! The year of incredible growth and leadership for everyone, but especially from the junior class. 🖤❤️ A year filled with laughs, learning, unforgettable experiences and amazing accomplishments with a team full of WONDERFUL humans we are so beyond proud of.

Thank you to this stellar squad. Each of you make Mavforensics a safe and special place to be and we can’t wait to do it again next year! 🥳🤘🏼

Screening information for 05/22/26 can be found on the last slide. The forensics season may be over, but the advocacy isn’t!

Join us in wishing a Happy Birthday to THE MAK RUFFING!!! 🎉🎂 Oh my gosh the ways in which we love Mak are truly infinite.

Outside of school, work, and personal projects, Mak helps run the social media pages (except for this post of course 😉), but their role is so much more than that! Mak is a truly incredible friend, family member, and teammate. Mak brings a warm energy to Mavforensics that makes everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. And believe us, our admiration is as grand as Mak’s love for fine arts. Whether it’s gushing about art or musicals, Mak has focused on topics important to them and poured their heart into every performance they’ve given. Mak’s passion inspires everyone on the team!

There aren’t enough amazing things to say about this human and we are so grateful Mak is such a special and important part our team. Mak, we hope you have the best birthday yet and please know how much you are loved and valued!!! 🥳💜 Have a great day!

Madelyn has been such an amazing addition to the team’s coaching staff this season, and there are not enough words for us to describe how kind, thoughtful, and brilliant she is. She’s constantly bringing in new ideas for events, helping the team explore and navigate topics or assisting them with blocking. She’s been a wonderful addition to our social media team, designing beautiful graphics and coming up with fun posts and stories. Madelyn truly is one of the friendliest faces that you can see in the team room, or even just walking down the hall. We are all so grateful for everything you do for the team, so thank you for choosing to make UNO and MavForensics a part of your life’s journey.
