We’re just a few days away from the 2026 Youth Impact Summit!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone for a day designed to bring young people together for meaningful conversations, leadership development, new connections, and community building.

We’ve been working behind the scenes to get everything ready, and now it’s almost time to bring it all together.

We’ll see you soon!

A little behind-the-scenes look at the work happening ahead of the 2026 Youth Impact Summit.

Our Youth Summit Advisory Committee came together for their Teen Promotion Vendor Orientation as they continue preparing for this year’s summit.

This group of young leaders has been helping shape the event from the ground up, guiding the themes, conversations, and overall direction of the summit to make sure it reflects the voices and experiences of youth in our community.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to see it all come together!

We had the opportunity to attend Habitat for Humanity of Omaha’s 20th Annual Brew Haha!

Twenty years of bringing people together, discovering new favorites, and supporting a bigger cause. With more than 80 breweries, wineries, distilleries, and local eateries, there was certainly no shortage of things to try.

But what makes Brew Haha special is what happens beyond the event. Every ticket helps support Habitat Omaha’s work to expand access to affordable homeownership and keep local homes in local hands.

It was a great night to raise a glass, connect with the community, and celebrate 20 years of impact.

It takes a community to build a more inclusive one.

Every year, more than 200 volunteers give their time, talent, and energy to help make the work of Inclusive Communities possible.

Some help with a mailing or filing project. Others facilitate conversations, support programs, or spend 4–6 days helping lead a residential youth camp.

There’s no one way to volunteer, but every contribution matters.

Your time and talent can help create spaces where people feel heard, connected, and valued.

Want to get involved? Complete our volunteer application or contact Mandy True, Operations Specialist, at [email protected].

What if community engagement could help revitalize a neighborhood without pushing people out?

That’s the idea behind our ACTion Planning consultation.

We work alongside urban planners, community developers, and construction teams to create outreach strategies that go beyond checking a box. Strategies that support development goals while keeping community voices at the center of the conversation.

After nearly 90 years of bringing people together, we know that meaningful engagement starts with listening, building trust, and finding common ground.

You focus on building the future. We’ll help you build the relationships that make it possible.

Our IncluCity program teaches young people that leadership is about more than having a title. It’s about listening, asking questions, understanding different perspectives, and having honest conversations across difference.

Through the program, young people build leadership skills, strengthen their communication, and create connections with peers from different backgrounds and experiences.

While IncluCity continues to grow, its purpose hasn’t changed: giving young people the space and tools to become thoughtful, engaged leaders in their communities.

Applications to be a Counselor or Advisor for next year's camp open in October.

Last week, we had the opportunity to attend LEDC’s Adelante Soirée, an evening that brought community leaders, business owners, public officials, and changemakers together to celebrate the strength and potential of Omaha’s Latino community.

From the music and food to the inspiring stories shared throughout the evening, there was so much to celebrate.

As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the people, culture, businesses, and organizations helping make our community stronger.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to come together, invest in one another, and move Omaha forward.

Last week, we joined World Speaks for their first Bilingual Language Game Night on August 27, bringing together people to practice Spanish, build confidence in English, and connect with others in our community.

We had the chance to lead everyone in a little laugh yoga. And yes, it was every bit as fun as it sounds. What started as a few laughs quickly turned into a room full of laughter.

It was such a fun reminder that language learning doesn’t have to be intimidating. Sometimes, all you need is a reason to laugh together.

We’re officially one month away from the 2026 Youth Impact Summit!

Inclusive Communities is bringing young people together for a day of meaningful conversations, leadership development, connection, and community building.

This year’s theme, Rooted and Rising, invites students to reflect on where they come from, what grounds them, and how they can grow into the leaders they want to become.

The Youth Summit Advisory Committee has been hard at work shaping this year’s experience, helping guide the themes, conversations, and direction of the summit to ensure it reflects the voices and experiences of young people in our community.

Registration opens September 7 and closes September 21. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

As we have come to the end of our Fiscal Year. We are reflecting on the knowledge that some of the most meaningful progress happens when we come together.

Every conversation, shared idea, and new partnership created helps strengthen our community. We have been working alongside youth and program providers in DCYC, learning with our colleagues in the Nebraska Leadership Coalition, and watching inclusive leadership come to life with our IncluCity and LeadDIVERSITY Alumni. Each moment has been a chance to build a place where everyone feels they belong.

We're grateful for everyone who is part of this journey, and we look forward to continuing to partner in our new fiscal year.
Happy IC New Year!
