Settle an argument for me. Do you count the get it up into position as a rep?
It doesn’t have concentric and eccentric so is it really a full rep? On bench you go down and then up and that’s rep 1. On military press or overhead press you get it up but then you bring it down and up for a full rep. I call this 8 reps but some would call it 9. What do you say?

Rocking the mace might seem simple… Maybe even a little silly.

But I promise you, it’s one of the most important things you can learn if you actually want smooth, powerful swings.

I talk about rocking all the time because it’s a foundational movement.

You’re learning rhythm.
You’re learning to transfer the mace from hand to hand.
You’re building a relationship with each grip while your forearms learn to pronate and supinate naturally.

Once you can rock with rhythm and move the mace gracefully, turning that movement into a clean coil becomes a whole lot easier.

Another Bulletproof movement I tell warriors to drill is the pendulum.

Learn to pendulum side to side… Then front to back…

And maybe start integrating your gait as your body moves with the mace instead of fighting it.

Hand position matters too. Keep your hand closer to the mace head while you’re practicing these drills. As you spend more time moving a mace with grace, you’ll realize something…

Tiny adjustments create massive differences.

The steel mace is a humbling piece of equipment.
It rewards patience, precision, and practice.

So don’t overlook the basics.

Rocking and pendulums are more important than I can even explain.

They’re also one of my favorite ways to wake up my nervous system, warm up my body, and prepare for battle before I really get this thing on the swing.

I appreciate every single one of you for the support.

If there’s something you’re struggling with or want me to teach next, drop it in the comments and I’ll add it to the list.

Just remember… Every like, comment, share, save, and repost feeds that algorithm monster and helps this message reach another warrior!
