Finally conquered! Decided to go to Area51 MX for open practice and being the first time riding the track on my 65cc. After a couple sessions and one of my ridding buddies doing the big double, it was my turn! 🤘🏻

What a weekend for Brodie at his hometown track! 🏁💙
Saturday at practice, he came out absolutely on fire. Right away you could see it…… he was clicking with the bike, hitting his jumps clean, and getting more comfortable every lap. Each rotation he just kept building confidence and speed, and by the end of the day he looked dialed in and ready for race day.
Sunday morning, we decided to add a third class, Junior Mini, just to get him more seat time on the 65. He was actually the only 65cc rider in the class….. the rest of the field was on 85cc bikes all the way up to 125cc. Tough lineup, but he went out there and gave it everything he had. Moto 1 he went down early in the first corner, struggled to get the bike restarted, but never quit and kept pushing to the finish.
In the Junior Mini class, he went 12–12 for 11th overall out of 13 riders fighting every lap against much bigger bikes and still finishing strong.
In his 65cc 7–11 class, he was steady all day and went 8–9 for 9th overall. Smooth, consistent, and improving each moto.
Then Moto 1 in 65cc 7-9 is where everything started to click. He got a solid gate pick, came out about 3rd or 4th into the first corner, and spent the entire moto running in 2nd. The excitement after that one was unreal.
Moto 2 is where it all came together. He stayed consistent, hit the uphill double with confidence, and really let that bike fly. At the checkered flag……. HE DID IT. 🥇 He went 2–1 for the day and earned his FIRST EVER overall win on the 65cc at his hometown track!
An absolutely incredible day, and even better having family and friends there in the stands cheering him on.
We are beyond grateful for our amazing sponsors who make this all possible helping cover entry fees, gas, and race expenses every weekend. We truly couldn’t do it without them.
Huge shout-out this week to RocCoating 🔥 We picked up the new 2027 Husky TC 65 just last week, and within 24 hours the wheels were already off to powder coating. They absolutely crushed it with those yellow rims for race day they looked unreal on the track and were ready just in time.
So proud of this kid and this journey. What a weekend! 💙🏁 ROC Coatings
