Country Trails and Riding School offers Western and English riding lessons and trail rides by appointment. Call or email to book or for more information.
At Country Trails Riding School, we offer English and Western lessons for beginner to intermediate riders on our seasoned herd of school horses. Students will learn to ride and care for their mount in a non-competitive, community atmosphere. We are not a high-pressure show barn. Our aim is that every student improves at his or her own individual pace, and that together, we all can gain greater respect and appreciation for our horse. Country Trail Rides
The beautiful Irvine Regional Park, California’s oldest country park, is a spacious 477 acres. It’s many trails afford one of California’s best places for horseback riding. Country Trails and Riding School offers 1 and 2 hour rides, Tue – Sun, departing throughout the day.

Clifford🧡
This handsome guy is one of our trail horses here at Country Trails. Before trading the racetrack for the trails, Clifford raced as Marriedtothemusic, earning nearly half a million dollars and becoming a stakes winner!
These days, he’s happy cruising around Irvine Regional Park. Of course he is, we have some of the most beautiful trails in Orange County. 🌿🐴

Our handsome lesson horse, Archie 🖤 He’s one of the newer additions to our herd and already a favorite around the barn.
Archie is an OTTB (off-the-track Thoroughbred) who raced 16 times, primarily in Louisiana. We think he’s loving his life as an Orange County boy. ☀️

Meet Wheezy🤍🖤
Wheezy is a Tennessee Walking Horse, a breed known for their naturally smooth gaits and willing personalities. Their signature four-beat “walk” makes them especially comfortable to ride and well suited for covering long distances, which makes Wheezy right at home on the trails!
