Java's Compost

Back to school, back to composting! 🌱💚

We headed to South Mountain School to give the students a little composting refresher—and we’re so excited to be back!

This is our second year composting with SMS, and after such a successful first year, we couldn’t be happier to continue the program!

It’s always so much fun teaching the next generation how their food scraps can be turned into something that gives back to the earth. 🌎✨

Here’s to another great year of turning scraps into soil at South Mountain School! 🍎🥕🌱

POV: Your food scraps are on their way to their next chapter. 🚛🌱

Ever wonder what happens after Java’s Compost picks up your food scraps?

We’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look.

Today, we're heading to the composting site where the food scraps collected from homes and businesses begin the next stage of their journey.

What was once considered trash can be transformed into something useful again.

Your scraps have potential. We just help them get there.

Follow along with Java’s Compost and see how your food scraps are transformed from pickup to finished compost.

From paletas to compost! 🍋🍓🥭♻️

We’re so excited to have Puras Paletas on the Java’s Compost team! Their delicious, fresh paletas mean lots of fruit scraps—and instead of sending those scraps to the landfill, they’re giving them a second life through composting.

It’s a perfect example of how businesses can make a difference by turning everyday food waste into something that helps grow new life.

Thank you, Puras Paletas, for composting with us! We’re happy to have you on the team.

Got a business with food scraps? Let’s turn your waste into something useful! 🌎💚

From your kitchen… to your bucket… to our truck… to the composting facility… and eventually, back to the earth. 🌱♻️

Ever wonder what happens to your food scraps after you toss them in your Java’s Compost bucket?

Here’s the full journey! 👀👇

🥕 Scraps go into your kitchen bucket
🪣 Your bucket gets picked up
🚛 We load it up and take it to the facility
🌱 Your scraps are processed into nutrient-rich compost
🥕 That compost can help grow new food
🔄 And then… the cycle starts all over again!

Your scraps have a second life. And you get to be part of the cycle. 💚

Don’t waste your waste. ♻️
