Kids Beating Cancer is proud to announce the AACR–Kids Beating Cancer Margaret Guedes Monosomy 7 Legacy Cancer Research Grant, created in partnership with the American Association for Cancer Research.

The grant will provide $300,000 over three years to support research into monosomy 7 AML and other high-risk AML subtypes.

Monosomy 7 was the subtype John faced 35 years ago. His legacy became the reason Kids Beating Cancer exists, and now it continues through research that can help change the future for children facing the same diagnosis.

While convening the AACR Special Conference on Bridging Discovery and Clinical Impact in Pediatric Cancer this evening in Philadelphia, conference cochair Annie A. Huang and Kids Beating Cancer CEO Margaret Guedes announced the launch of a new funding opportunity for pediatric cancer researchers.

The AACR-Kids Beating Cancer Margaret Guedes Monosomy 7 Legacy Cancer Research Grant will provide $300,000 over three years to investigators at the postdoctoral level and above to support innovative research. We are grateful to Kids Beating Cancer for working with us to drive progress against pediatric cancer.
