Happy Trails Animal Rescue

We are SO THANKFUL to our friends at Holler Hyundai for choosing to support us through their fundraiser for the month of August. Partnerships like this make it possible for us to continue our mission to support pets and pet owners in our community. It takes a community to make a difference. 🥰

You guys are AMAZING!!!!!! We didn't have one single bag of food left in the building yesterday, and today we are so overwhelmed and grateful for everyone who sent food via our wishlist. ❤️✨️

At this time, we have lots of food in the pantry for a little while - as I'm sure more wishlist purchases will be arriving all week. If you'd like to help support our food pantry, donations to help with the rent, utilities and future food purchases are always so, so appreciated. 🥰

Thank you to the for awarding Happy Trails Animal Rescue a 2026 Senior Pet Adoption Grant! We will use this grant to help cover some of Coco's ongoing care for her new family.

And Coco has SO much to offer in return.

At 9 years old, Coco is as sweet as honey, well behaved, calm and amazing in the home! She doesn't even destroy her toys.

Coco does need to be the only pet in the home, but if you are looking for an only fur child to spoil this is your girl!

Can’t adopt Coco? You can still help us create some serious BUZZ for this sweet girl! PLEASE share her bee-utiful face everywhere and help us reach the person who’s meant to bring her home!

And a huge thank you again to the Petfinder Foundation for giving Coco an even better chance at finding her family!

Coco is currently located in Orlando, Florida. Adoption fee is waived for an approved adopter, application and screening still applies. 🔗👇

September is almost over! Please help support our September raffle. Our monthly raffles help make it possible to keep our doors open. This month's raffle prizes include a $250 gift card to the Lake Nona Wave Hotel (for food and merchandise purchases), a $50 gift card to PetSmart and a $25 gift card to Gourmet Gift Baskets! Raffle tickets every month are $5/per ticket or 5 tickets for $20. You can get tickets online here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/happy-trails-animal-rescues-september-2026-raffle
We draw a prize winner at the end of every month! Your raffle ticket purchases make it possible for us to keep the doors open to our resource center to provide programs and aide to our community.

Sweet Lucy says thank you to everyone who donated towards her surgery. 🥹🥰 She is already feeling much better. 🎉

As she has started to feel better, she has become more eager to befriend her kitty siblings in her foster home. Lucy has lived with kitties before, but her foster kitties are seniors and not really loving Lucy's playful energy. She's safe and loved in her foster for now, but she will be looking for a forever home when she is fully healed and ready to be active again - either one without kitties or one with kitties that won't be stressed by her playful nature. She is dog and kitty friendly, a great medium size and perfect medium energy. Housebroken and crate trained and such a very easy going girl at home. If you think Lucy might be your perfect match, please reach out to us. 🥰

🚨OUR PET PANTRY SHELVES ARE ABSOLUTELY BARE - CAN YOU HELP?🚨
We haven't had to post our food pantry wishlist in a while, we've had a steady stream of food donations that have helped us service the community pretty consistently. But, unfortunately we find ourselves with completely empty pantry shelves now. It is nearing the holiday season and times are tough, we'd love the community's support to restock for the holiday season.

You can ship food directly to us via our Amazon wishlist here:
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3QNR8N53WAY3G?ref_=wl_share

We are currently prioritizing smaller bags of food that help us spread the resources among more households.

Funds to help purchase food when we run low and just keep the doors open are also so needed. 🥹🙏

🚨911 EMERGENCY SURGERY🚨
17 year old dog needs life saving emergency surgery! Bella was surrendered to us approximately two years ago at the age of 15. She was not spayed at the time of her surrender and the decision was made at her age that the surgery would be higher risk given her advanced age, so she went into fospice care with one of our board members where she has been living ever since.

Today, Bella was taken to the veterinarian not feeling well and it was discovered that she had developed pyometra - a uterine infection that is similar to an appendix infection in humans - and her uterus had to be removed immediately, or the condition would be fatal.

She is currently in emergency surgery as we speak and we are hopeful she makes a complete recovery. This makes a second major medical in one week's time - with bills totaling over $3,000 for the two emergencies. We are in desperate, urgent need of help and support with these veterinary expenses. Every dollar helps!
