🛑✋🏻 I have to show you this felt busy book I made with the cutest frenchie dog AND a new baseball page! ⚾️ I’m working on the baseball pattern and tutorial for you all, I just need to edit the video and figure out a solution for the bat for those of you who plan on cut by hand! I tried a lot of different things and none of them were working.. would you be opposed to buying the pattern and me mailing you a laser cut chipboard bat!?

I heard you want to DIY a felt busy book but don’t know where to start!? I got you! Here are the supplies I have bought over and over for the 60+ books I’ve made!

Mat board or chipboard is what gives the pages stability! All of my pages are 8x10 in size so I buy it already to size. Not all felts are created equally and some stiff ones are see through which is why I like to buy it in white over corrugated. You will also need this to make some of the items in the book stiffer- like the veggies, etc!

This is the best fabric glue I’ve found.. fuses the fabrics together and creates a very permanent hold!

Hot glue is a must! Personally I only use a hot temp glue gun, and for these it’s a better option to make sure the felts fuse together! We don’t use hot glue on every part bc some felts will “melt” at the heat of hot glue but for borders and trims and other parts … can’t go wrong!

Fabric stiffener is optional but we use it on almost every page! Helps the Velcro from not shredding up the felt and helps prevents “cheaper” felt from ripping or stretching. Both brands are great! Do not get a fabric stiffener that requires you to soak the felt… the spray kind is what you need

Obvi you need felt! Bc I make so many I like to buy as many colors as long possible so I buy there bundles on Amazon but hobby lobby and Michael’s sell felt as well as local fabric stores, and on Etsy! Legacy felt also Carries a wide range of colors!

I like soft felt, which are what these bundles are. Stiffer felt will be easier to cut on a cricut and by hand, but they will feel different to the touch. You can also use wool felt which is more expensive. Benzi design is a good place to look for wool felt!

If you’re going to use a cricut make sure you have this blade and some strong grip mats. For soft felts, add heat n bond on the back and remove the paper for stability! Or add stiffener prior to adding to the mat

So cute and necessary if cutting by hand!

Optional but sooo helpful!

These are optional too but truly such a life saver if you don’t want to burn your fingers off!! Also so helpful for placement of things!

Some sort of punch for binding! You could use a cricut to cut ho

Hi it’s me again sharing another felt busy book I just finished making! 🙋🏼‍♀️ this one was so fun to create for a little girl named Stevie Lou, which included her two puppy dogs, Bella and Stormi! I struggledddd digitizing bella for a while but after two attempts and different colors of felt, I think she looks pretty close to the picture I was sent! 𝑰𝑵𝑫𝒀 𝑩𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑬 I hope Stevie had a great birthday and that you and her love her book! 💗🎂🎁🐾

had to wait for this felt busy book I made to travel across the world to before I could share! This is a GOOD ONE! Her aunt and mum sent me a video of Hartlee playing with it and she waved and said “hi” to atlas and Marlie and it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Might have cried. Lmk what you guys think of the new pages I made! lilli.Keegan
