ποΈ Starting a New Business? Letβs Cover It First π
Many of the business owners we work with do not stop at a single venture. An old idea, a side business, a new LLC. And sometimes, a new coverage conversation starts in the same place. π€
General Liability is always the first policy to put in place. Here is why it comes first:
π’ Most commercial leases require proof of GL coverage before you can sign.
π€ Many clients and contracts will ask to see a certificate of insurance before work begins.
πΆ The moment a customer, vendor, or contractor walks through your door, you have liability exposure.
π¨ Bodily injury and property damage claims can come up in the earliest days of a new operation.
We already know how you work. If something new is on the horizon, let us know before you open the doors. Getting coverage in place from the start is a lot simpler than catching up after the fact. π©

π¦ Letβs Keep You Busy, Not Your General Liability Coverage πͺ
When business picks up, coverage is usually the last thing on anyone's mind. But the two tend to move together in ways that are worth knowing about. π€
Here is what increased activity actually looks like from a liability standpoint:
πΆ More foot traffic means more chances for a slip, a fall, or an accident on your property.
π More deliveries mean more interactions with customers and third parties, where a claim can come up.
π§ More jobs mean more completed work, and more opportunity for a liability question to follow.
π More clients sometimes mean new contracts with liability requirements that your current limits may not meet.
None of that is a reason to slow down. It is just a good reason to make sure your General Liability policy reflects the business you are actually running right now, not the one you were running at your last renewal. π
If things have picked up since we last reviewed your coverage, send us a message. It is a quick conversation that could come in handy when you least expect it. π©

π‘οΈ Does Your GL Need a Refit? πΌ
Businesses change more than most people realize. Revenue grows, new employees come on, and operations expand into areas that did not exist a year ago. General Liability exposure shifts right along with all of it. π
Here is what we typically find when a client has not reviewed their GL in a while:
π Coverage limits that made sense at a lower revenue level are now too thin.
π· New employees or subcontractors have been added, but the policy wasnβt updated.
π’ Operations have moved into a new space or a new type of work that changes the exposure.
π A contract or lease now requires higher limits than those currently in place.
None of this means something went wrong. It just means the business grew, which is a good thing. Getting the policy caught up is an easy fix.
If it has been a while since we reviewed your General Liability coverage together, reach out, and let's take a few minutes to go through it. That is exactly what we are here for. π©

β° Do you need a business property policy update? π’
Businesses change. That's the point.
New equipment, more inventory, a build-out, a move, a hire (or three). Each one can affect your Commercial Property coverage.
Things that should trigger a policy update:
π¨ New or upgraded equipment
π¦ More inventory than last year
ποΈ Renovations or build-outs
π A move or expansion
π΅ Higher rebuild costs (construction prices have shifted)
The risk is real. If your limits haven't kept pace, a coinsurance clause can reduce your payout on partial losses, too. Quiet hit, big surprise.
A review doesn't take long, and we do most of the work. DM us. π©
