This morning Six Flags Great Adventure announced Bakunawa, the world's tallest and fastest spinning coaster, will open in 2027. At 328 feet (116.5 m) tall, with a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h), the MACK Rides floorless spinner will feature the world's first upside down launch!

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari announce Cannonball, a new water roller coaster opening May 2027. The parks says the $22m Mack Rides coaster will be the fastest water roller coaster in the USA, reaching 45mph, and will feature the tallest drop in the nation as well.

Nooo! Fun Spot Atlanta announce they will permanently close on August 2nd. Gutted for the lovely staff who always made it a welcoming place to visit. Is this the end of one of the worlds most re-rideable coasters….what will happen to Arie Force One? Go grab one more ride.

Sad news out of Spain. Parque de Atracciones de Zaragoza will not be opening for the 2026 season due to ongoing financial difficulties with it’s parent company, Fénix Entertainment, which is currently involved in bankruptcy proceedings.

Great news out of Pennsylvania! Waldameer announced that the park will be opening Eagle's Pursuit, a new Vekoma family launch coaster, in 2027. Built directly into the hillside, the ride will launch out of the station and dive into the ravine before a second mid‑course launch propels riders back uphill for a fast, airtime‑filled finale.

Switzerland's tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster is coming to CONNY-LAND! Massai will be 72 feet (22 m) tall, 1,640 feet (500 m) long, and reach speeds up to 53.4 mph (86 km/h). The LSM launched MACK Rides BigDipper coaster is scheduled to open in 2027.

Today Walibi Belgium announced that the park's Loup-Garou (Werewolf) coaster will be getting a Rocky Mountain Construction I-Box track conversion. The Vekoma wooden coaster will be closing later this year, with the new one scheduled to open in 2028.
