Pathlight HOME
Pathlight HOME is ending homelessness in Central Florida through housing, supportive services, and employment assistance. Starting a Facebook fundraiser?
Search for Grand Avenue Economic Community (GAEC) as the charitable organization. Pathlight HOME changes the lives of homeless and low income Floridians by providing affordable housing and economic opportunities. Now in our 25th year, we are Central Florida’s first and largest provider of permanent supportive housing for homeless men, women and families. Originally incorporated as Grand Avenue Economic Development Corporation, we have helped more than 5,000 of our homeless neighbors through our “housing first” philosophy. Today, more than 600 residents receive safe, dignified housing and the supportive services of a team of social workers to help them stay housed. Pathlight HOME also operates two social enterprises, Pathlight Kitchen and Sobik’s Café. These enterprises create an opportunity for low-income community members to learn culinary skill sets, enabling them to overcome barriers to employment and earn higher wages.
Join us for A Place at the Table on November 5 for an evening of connection, celebration, great food, and community—all supporting Pathlight HOME’s mission to end homelessness in Central Florida. 💜

In Episode 7 of Pathlight HOME’s HOME Team podcast, Carl Falconer and Danny Arroyo explore the true cost of living in housing—from application fees and security deposits to transportation, utilities, and unexpected expenses that can make it difficult to get housed and stay housed.
The hosts also debate whether communities should create safe outdoor spaces for people experiencing homelessness, discuss funding priorities, and share a powerful reminder that housing is about more than just paying rent.
Plus, they highlight Baltimore Ravens safety Malachi Starks’ personal connection to homelessness, answer listener questions about supporting housing stability, discuss the latest football action, and spotlight a community working to end veteran homelessness.
Tune in for another thoughtful conversation connecting football, housing, and the work of ending homelessness in Central Florida. 💜
💜 MISSION MONDAY: Meet Michael Bailey
Today, we’re honoring Michael Bailey, a U.S. veteran who continues his commitment to serving others as a Case Manager at Pathlight HOME.
After serving our country, Michael now helps individuals experiencing homelessness navigate their own path toward stability, connection, and a place to call HOME.
His journey is a powerful reminder that service doesn’t always end when the uniform comes off. Sometimes, it takes a new form—and at Pathlight HOME, Michael is helping make a difference one person at a time. 💜
Thank you, Michael, for your service to our country and our community!

We were excited to welcome the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida (HSN) to Pathlight HOME for a tour of Maxwell Terrace! 💜
As the lead agency for Central Florida’s Continuum of Care, HSN plays an important role in bringing together organizations and resources across our community’s homeless services system. Their visit gave the HSN team an opportunity to see Pathlight HOME’s work firsthand, learn more about our programs and services, and connect with our staff and the people we serve.
Strong collaboration across our community is essential to creating pathways to housing, stability, and opportunity. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and continue working together to support our community. 💜
Thank you, HSN, for spending time with the Pathlight HOME team!
