𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗠: 𝗠𝗶𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗶𝘇𝗺𝗲𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻 (𝟭𝟵𝟯𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱)

It is with deep sorrow that the AMAA announces the passing of Mr. Mihran Jizmejian — a devoted Christian whose six decades of dedicated service touched countless lives through his leadership in education, the church, and philanthropy across the Middle East and later in Canada.
Mr. Jizmejian was born in Aleppo, Syria, on November 28, 1936, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He later moved to Beirut, Lebanon, and pursued higher studies at the Near East School of Theology and the American University of Beirut, graduating with a degree in Christian Education.
Before relocating to Toronto, Canada, in 1976, he served faithfully as an educator in Syria, Cyprus, and Lebanon. In Canada, he continued his ministry at the Armenian Evangelical Church of Toronto in various leadership roles and was a founding member of the Armenian Missionary Association of Canada, where he served devotedly for many years as President.
In 1966, Mr. Jizmejian married Vartouhi Moushian, and together they were blessed with two sons, the late Rev. Ara Jizmejian and Hrair.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, 10 AM, at the Armenian Evangelical Church of Toronto – 2600 14th Avenue, Markham, ON L3R 3X1, Canada.
Memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Missionary Association of Canada or the Armenian Evangelical Church of Toronto.
