We don’t usually post much about how we source our firewood here at The Sharp Notes, but our process is remarkably similar to Eddie Floyd’s.

Although, admittedly, we’re rarely dressed this well.

Look at this man. Chopping wood in a beautiful suit, immaculate loafers and—is that an ascot? Eddie Floyd understood that manual labor was no excuse for letting standards slip.

However you prefer to forage, come as you are to The Sharp Notes and pick up this beautiful copy of a stone-cold soul classic. The record is nearly as clean as Eddie’s loafers.

Classic Stax all around.

We were a little worried this one might disappear before we could get our hands on a copy.

The Velvet Underground’s self-titled album has been newly reissued by Universal Japan, complete with a facsimile of the obi strip from the original Japanese release. A very nice presentation of a very important record.

As one of my favorite albums, adding one to my own collection was a no-brainer. The question is: what about yours?
