On Wednesday, August 12th a total solar eclipse will be seen in Europe covering a path from Greenland to Spain. Here in Parchment, we’ll see a tiny partial eclipse! 🌙

Beginning at 1:06 p.m. the edge of the moon will begin to move across the sun until at 1:31 p.m. it covers 1.31% or a tiny slice of the upper left part of the sun.

So let’s have a tiny eclipse watch party on the lawn! 🌳 Bring a lawn chair and your eclipse glasses from 2024 if you still have them, or you can look through a pair of mini-sunoculars. We’ll have tiny bite-size snacks to share. We’ll also have a livestream of the full eclipse inside to watch.

All ages are welcome! No registration needed. FREE!!
