I've heard so many GREAT ideas from residents for the future development of our City. Wednesday, 6/17 is your chance to put them on paper with the City of Park Ridge Community Preservation and Development Department:

""Grab a marker, gather around the map, and help imagine what's next for Park Ridge.

“Sub-Areapalooza” is an interactive visioning workshop where residents will work together to draw, sketch, and map ideas for eight key areas across the City. Whether it's a safer crossing, a new gathering space, better bike connections, or a redevelopment opportunity, we want to hear your ideas.

No presentations. No lectures. Just maps, ideas, and conversation.

Whether you've lived here your entire life or just moved to Park Ridge, your perspective can help shape the future of the City and help inform the Comprehensive Plan.

No planning experience is required. Just bring your ideas, experiences, and vision for the future.""

🚒 Fire hydrant flushing begins Monday, June 1.

Over the next several weeks, City personnel will test hydrants throughout Park Ridge to help ensure they are operating properly and ready for use in an emergency.

💧 Residents in active flushing areas may notice temporary water discoloration or reduced water pressure. This is normal and not harmful. If needed, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears.

Great day at the Memorial Day Parade on Monday. Thanks to Alderperson Steinfels for all of his hard work organizing the event…and allowing me and my family to drive the Grand Marshal of the parade Don Hurst. Don was having such a great time and was so proud to be there with all of Park Ridge. Thank you to all the volunteers and members of public safety who worked in the parade, thank you to everyone who walked and represented their organizations, and thank you to so many of our residents who lined the streets and made this day so special.

Honored to have represented all of our Park Ridge residents in Springfield yesterday. Special thanks to our State Representative Justin Cochran for his hospitality and for recognizing me on the House floor at the start of session. And to our State Senator Laura Murphy for making time to chat and show me around the Senate floor. I also had a chance to meet and get to know a couple Legislative staff members who graduated from Maine South only a few years back and began working there after finishing college. Proud of them!
