Our librarians have a new way for you to find books - or DVDs - in a genre you love, or in a genre you’d like to try out. The Browse & Discover area of our Reader Services department has displays in genres like Thrillers, Celebrity Book Clubs, Romance, you name it. They’ll be updating the displays with new titles and backlist selections you might have missed. Come check it out!
Sarah knows - and loves - a good horror novel. Sign up for the October 12 discussion, grab your copy at the Reader Services desk, and make plans to talk about this dark, suspenseful tale with other fans of the genre.

The Park Ridge Library Board of Trustees recognized Josh Kiem and Deepika Thiagarajan for their many years of service to the Library at their September 15 meeting. Board president Danielle Powers presented them both with a proclamation to mark the occasion and they celebrated with their favorite young library users, Thiagarajan was joined by her kids and Kiem by his grandchildren.
Thiagarajan was appointed to the Board in August 2020 and served two terms as president, one term as secretary, three terms as Library Resources chair and one term as Planning & Operations chair.
Kiem was appointed in July 2017 and served in several capacities, including one term as vice president, two terms as secretary, three terms as Library Resources chair, two terms as Planning & Operations chair, three terms as Planning & Operations co-chair and one term as Building & Grounds co-chair.
“We are grateful to Deepika and Josh for their combined 15 years of service to the Library,” said Library Director Joanna Bertucci. “Their unwavering dedication to the Library, its patrons, and the community was evident throughout their respective terms.”
Bring your grandparent (or other special grand-friend in your life) and paint kindness rocks with us!
Registration opens 3 weeks before the program. Register once per family, but please let us know how many family members will be attending. Registration is required.
