Studio Mahal

NEWH LA: Inside the Design-Lucia. We explored the making of this cinematic restaurant in the heart of LA. We enjoyed the night full of delicious Caribbean food, signature, cocktail drinks, mad knowledge bestowed upon us by our talented panelist, and delightful reunions with our industry friends and partners. My board worked extremely hard to put this on. I couldn’t be more proud of them. Congratulations to Alexis and Taylor for creating such a magical space Preen, Inc. .

Okay rug lovers… the era of “performance rug but make it cute” has officially arrived. Jaipur Living just dropped their new CallaLuxe collection — 75 styles that look and feel like real wool but can survive basically everything life throws at them. We’re talking muddy shoes, spilled w**e, coffee catastrophes, even 10 YEARS of direct sunlight. The magic? A fancy solution‑dyed fiber that keeps color locked in forever. Lab tests showed these rugs shrugged off 11 different stains (yes, including w**e + mustard) even after sitting for 24 hours. Most messes clean up with just soap and water. Stubborn ones? Diluted bleach. Yup — bleach. And the color stays put. But here’s the best part:
They don’t look like those shiny, obviously‑synthetic performance rugs. CallaLuxe comes in handwoven, hand‑tufted, and hand‑knotted styles with moody, rich colors like pine, burgundy, camel, and clay. Basically… they’re giving luxury living room, not outdoor patio. Price range: $2,400–$10,000 depending on size.
Durability level: superhero.
Vibe: soft, saturated, wool‑adjacent goodness. Jaipur Living (Feature in Domino magazine)
