Maryland has mountains, bay, and beach all in one state, and every one of these spots is RV-friendly.
1) Assateague Island
Camp steps from the ocean and wake up to wild horses walking past your site. It's the classic Maryland RV trip.
2) Deep Creek Lake
Maryland's largest freshwater lake, tucked into the mountains of Garrett County. Spend summer on the water and fall driving through the changing leaves.
3) Cunningham Falls State Park
Hike to Maryland's largest cascading waterfall (78 ft), then head back to camp in the Catoctin Mountains.
4) Point Lookout State Park
Stay at the southern tip of the state, where the Potomac meets the Chesapeake. You get a lighthouse, Civil War history, and great sunsets.
5) Elk Neck State Park
Head up to the top of the Bay and walk out to Turkey Point Lighthouse, which sits on a 100-ft bluff. The views are some of the best in the state.
Before you head out, remember that a trip is only as good as the rig that gets you there. Roofs, seals, tires, brakes, and propane are what cut trips short. If you're buying an RV or haven't had yours looked at in a while, get it inspected first.

Do you know how we got started? It began with a pop-up camper. 🏕️
Darrin and his wife Stacey have been RVing for over 35 years. They started in tents, moved up to a pop-up, then a travel trailer, and today they're rolling in a 40-foot motorhome. These days they're not weekend warriors — they travel for months at a time, chasing the RV life they love.
After 38 years as a systems engineer and acquisition program manager with the U.S. Department of Defense, Darrin retired looking for something different. Something that would keep him busy, help people, and let him live his RVing passion every day.
So he trained at the National RV Training Academy, earned his Certified RV Inspector credential through NRVIA, and became a Registered Technician with the RVTAA. Then — after a lot of prayer and study — he founded All Around RV Inspections, LLC. 🚐
