Re-Energize Your Prosperity
with Abundant Living, Abundant Giving
What if prosperity is not something we get—but something we awaken to, participate in, and put into circulation?
As we begin our annual Prosperity Pledge Program, our theme is Abundant Living, Abundant Giving, and our conversation begins with Eric Butterworth’s Spiritual Economics and the foundation of his teaching: Redefining Prosperity.
Butterworth challenges one of our most deeply held assumptions: that prosperity is primarily about money, possessions, accumulation, or having more.
Instead, he invites us to see prosperity as whole-life well-being—a forward-moving flow of life, possibility, creativity, love, purpose, and sufficiency.
In material economics, we often think money is the source of prosperity. Butterworth turns that idea around. In spiritual economics, money is an effect of consciousness, not the cause of it.
That changes the question.
Instead of asking, “How much do I have?” we begin asking:
What is flowing through me?
What am I cultivating?
What am I making possible?
What am I willing to give?
This is where prosperity becomes more than a personal experience.
Prosperity Is Meant to Move
At Ahiah, we are learning that abundance is not simply something we talk about on Sunday. It is something we can put to work in the world.
Our kitchen represents one expression of that possibility.
Imagine using this sacred space to help alleviate food insecurity in our community—to create nourishing meals, partnerships, gatherings, and opportunities where people can experience the dignity of having enough.
But there is another kind of hunger all around us.
The hunger for connection.
We are living through what many describe as an epidemic of loneliness. People can have full calendars, hundreds of contacts, and thousands of followers—and still wonder, “Where do I belong?”
Perhaps one answer is as ancient as humanity itself:
We belong to each other and Ahiah is a special place of belonging like no other.
Come to the table, and submit your pledge to support the Ahiah mission in 2027. Help us expand our spiritual community center to new heights!

What Does It Mean to Come Home?
What if “coming home” has less to do with a place—and more to do with a person, a community, or a moment when we remember that we are not alone?
This month at Ahiah CSL, we are exploring Communion—the sacred experience of recognizing our connection with one another.
From prison ministry with Rev. Nicole and myself, to our recent Visioning Circle on healing from loss and grief, we are discovering that transformation doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when we create spaces where people can be seen, heard, supported, and reminded of their possibility.
That is part of what makes Ahiah more than a place to attend on Sunday. We are becoming a spiritual community center—a place where spiritual seekers can come together to heal, grow, serve, and reveal their greater yet to be.
Whether you're volunteering at Bingo, serving at the Fall Festival, participating in a service project, or simply welcoming someone through our doors, you are helping create that experience.
You are helping someone come home.
Read this week's blog, “Coming Home to Each Other,” and discover what happens when we remember the powerful truth: We belong to each other.
Coming Home to Each Other What if the greatest prison isn't made of concrete and steel? What if some of the walls that keep us separated—from ourselves, from one another, and from the possibility of a greater life—are walls we have learned to build in our own minds? For over 15+ years, Rev. Nicole and I have had the opport...

What if the greatest gift in your life isn't something you need to acquire—but something you've already received?
And what if the reason your cup sometimes feels empty has less to do with what you have and more to do with what you're holding onto?
This month, we're exploring Communion. Not simply as a ritual, but as a radical recognition that we are connected to something greater than ourselves—and to one another.
Ernest Holmes wrote, “There is one Life, that Life is God, that Life is my life now.”
If that is true, then what flows through me is not mine to possess. It is mine to experience, embody, and share.
Someone has poured into your cup.
Maybe it was a person who believed in you when you couldn't believe in yourself. Maybe it was a lesson born from a difficult season. Maybe it was love, wisdom, forgiveness, or simply the gift of someone's presence.
But here's the question:
Are you drinking it all yourself—or are you allowing it to overflow?
