STRIKE TEAM UPDATE 🚒🔥

Our crews continue to demonstrate that serving the community goes beyond the fireline.

Yesterday, OES 4117, assigned to Strike Team 4807A, spent the day mopping up on Division Juliet. While working around structures, the crew discovered several animals that had been left behind without food or water. They immediately went to work providing food, fresh water, and ensuring the animals were safe.

We’re proud of the dedication and compassion our firefighters show every day, not only protecting lives and property, but also caring for the animals that depend on us during these challenging times.

STRIKE TEAM DEPLOYMENT

Last night, Patterson Fire Engine OES 4117 was deployed as part of Strike Team 4897A to assist with Gann Fire in Calaveras County.

Our department remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies within our community.

This afternoon, Patterson Fire Engine OES 4311 was deployed as part of Strike Team 4201C to assist with Dove Fire in Tuolumne County.

We are honored to answer the call and stand alongside our fire service partners. While our deployed personnel are on assignment, our department remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies within our community.

Traffic Alert: Street Closure Update- 7:00 p.m. Street closures have been lifted.

Traffic Alert: Street Closure Due to Gas Leak

Emergency crews are responding to a reported natural gas leak at the intersection of S. 1st Street and E Street.

🚧Street closures are currently in place on 1st Street between Las Palmas Ave. and Orange Ave.

Emergency personnel have issued evacuation notices for the surrounding area. Please follow directions from emergency personnel and expect traffic delays. Residents and businesses are advised to avoid the area until further notice.

Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.

This week, the Patterson Fire Department conducted a live fire training burn at the Water Quality Control Facility, with participation from West Stanislaus County Fire Protection District and Newman Firefighters Association.

These training exercises provide valuable hands-on experience, strengthen regional partnerships, and ensure firefighters are prepared to respond effectively when emergencies occur.

Congratulations to Chief Jeff Hakola on his official swearing-in as Fire Chief of the Patterson Fire Department! 🔥 🚒

City leaders, department personnel, regional partners, community organizations and residents gathered today at Patterson City Hall to celebrate this important milestone.

Chief Hakola brings more than 30 years of fire service experience and will continue leading the department's commitment to emergency response, fire prevention and community safety.

Please join us in congratulating Chief Hakola as he begins this new chapter of leadership in service to the Patterson community.

Smoke Advisory – Live Fire Training Burn Notification

The Patterson Fire Department, alongside partner agencies, will conduct a live fire training burn at the Water Quality Control Facility, located at 14901 Poplar Avenue, on Monday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 22 through Friday, July 24, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

This live fire training burn is part of the department’s ongoing training program. Exercises like these help firefighters strengthen critical skills, improve coordination between agencies, and maintain readiness for emergency response situations.

Residents and businesses in the area may see smoke during the scheduled burn periods. The burn will be closely monitored by fire personnel to ensure safety and minimize impacts to the surrounding community.
