Julie and Paul got married at OceanCliff this past Sunday. It was the day after the nor’easter that rolled up the East Coast, so we honestly had no idea how much of the day we were going to be able to spend outside. Julie really wanted to try, but early in the week we were all preparing ourselves for a very wet and windy wedding day. Thankfully, the wind was not too bad AND we spotted a little break in the rain earlier in the day, so we moved quickly! We sped through getting ready, moved the first look up, and somehow managed to get outside for the majority of their photos! An unexpected miracle honestly! We were SO happy we could make that happen because we knew how much it meant to Julie.

Julie is a veterinarian, so it probably comes as no surprise that these two are huge animal people and just genuinely caring people all around. They were so sweet and appreciative of us from the moment we arrived, and that kindness extended to everyone who was there to celebrate with them. You could feel how loved they are by their friends and family, and it made the whole day such a pleasure to be part of. Once the formalities were over, everyone hit the dance floor and pretty much stayed there.

Julie and Paul, thank you for trusting us with such an important day and for being so wonderful to work with from beginning to end. We loved celebrating your love story and watching two high school sweethearts finally get to throw one hell of a party with all their favorite people. Congratulations, you two! Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, lots of animals, and more dancing.

Megan and Ruben got married at the Providence Public Library, surrounded by books and quite literally living their "nerd dreams" as Megan put it. And honestly we couldn’t think of a more perfect setting for these two. They’re both doctors and obviously super smarty pants, but what really stood out to us from the very beginning was just how incredibly kind and sweet they are. At their engagement session it was so obvious how happy they were together and we heard that same sentiment echoed throughout their wedding day. Ruben’s father and brother both said they had never seen him happier than he is with Megan. And then Megan’s dad gave one of the most beautiful speeches we’ve ever heard. He said the kind of things about his daughter that we’re pretty sure every daughter secretly hopes her dad will say about her. Listening to both families talk about them, we could see exactly where these two got their kindness.

This wedding was truly a celebration of their love, and WOW, did everyone come ready to celebrate! We heard so much cheering during dinner that we knew the dance floor was going to be wild. At one point when Bad Bunny came on a guest leaned over to me and said “It’s about to get lit.” I looked at him and said “It isn’t lit already?!” But he was right! Apparently we had not yet reached maximum lit. The rest of the night was packed with dancing, laughing, singing, and the kind of happiness that makes you want to stay on the dance floor right along with everyone else.

Megan and Ruben, we absolutely loved celebrating with you. You are two genuinely wonderful people who clearly bring out the very best in each other and it was such a privilege to see your families and friends surround you with so much love. Congratulations, you two! We hope married life is every bit as joyful, nerdy and full of love as your wedding day was.

Does anyone know what day it is?? Would you believe me if I told you these clips are from this season alone? And there’s more! We should join a band, right??

Emily and David’s wedding at The Bohlin in Newport was one big celebration of two people who are very clearly, very happily in love. Emily was smiling pretty much every second of the day, David looked every bit the handsome Marine in his full dress uniform, and we had the BEST time hanging with this crew. The bridesmaids kept us laughing, there was so much love and excitement surrounding these two, and with lots of military family and friends in attendance, they even had a sword ceremony as they left the church. Newport + a beautiful couple + a little military tradition = a pretty damn great wedding day.

And can we talk about these flowers?! Giti from Botanica Weddings brought her usual magic with arrangements that were big, beautiful, and impossible to ignore. We also got to reunite with our friends at Frame & Anchor, who we hadn’t worked with in a while, which is always a bonus on a wedding day. AND then there was the temporary tattoo station, which may have been one of our favorite reception detail. “Wedding of the Year” and “I Got Drunk at Emily and David’s Wedding” were among the options, because apparently this crew came prepared to party!

Emily and David, we loved spending the day with you and getting to document all the love, laughter, and joy that surrounded you both. And honestly, you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Bohlin wedding day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the light was chef’s kiss, and everything came together so beautifully. We’re pretty sure Newport was showing off just for you two.

Julia and Brandon’s Cape Cod wedding at Bosari Gallery couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. As an art history major, Julia couldn’t have chosen a more meaningful place to celebrate, surrounded by beautiful art and the people she loves most. Julia’s family has been coming to the Cape for generations, so it was especially sweet to see her share a place that means so much to her with Brandon, a Jersey guy experiencing it all with her. And for their first look? We took a little adventure off the beaten path... way off the beaten path, actually! Down a seriously questionable dirt road to a gorgeous beach covered in dunes and beach grass. Totally worth the off-roading!

From the moment the day began, it was so obvious just how happy both families were for these two. We say it all the time, but the happiness in the room was truly undeniable. One of the biggest highlights was Julia’s Man of Honor’s speech, which had the entire room laughing and, honestly, made it pretty difficult to take photos when we were cracking up behind the cameras ourselves. There was just so much joy, laughter, and love packed into this day.

And then there was the sweetest full-circle moment for us... Julia’s brother Jordan married Elayna back in 2011 and we had the absolute honor of photographing their wedding too. Elayna has continued to send wonderful people our way for so many years and so getting to see them again, now with their family, was incredibly special. One of our favorite parts of this job is the people we meet along the way. It's the couples and families we never forget, who continue to support us while we get to cheer them on through all the years and milestones that follow. Getting to photograph Julia and Brandon’s wedding was one of those moments that reminds us just how lucky we are to do what we do.

We’ve been looking forward to Kelly and Brian’s wedding at Newport Vineyards ever since their engagement session last year! We had so much fun hanging out with these two around Newport for their session. Brian was a little quiet at first, but once he came out of his shell, we quickly discovered that he is absolutely hysterical. 😂 It didn’t take long for the three of us to be laughing and having way too much fun together, so we knew their wedding day was going to be a good one.

And it absolutely was! Kelly and Brian are just so sweet together—happy, comfortable, completely in love, and always up for whatever we threw at them when it came to photos. These two are both super athletic and actually met at Providence College, where Kelly was a cheerleader for the Friars (and if you’re from Rhode Island, you know we LOVE our Friars!). So naturally they suggested that they run through the vineyard for some photos! Obviously we were all about it. Their families were just as wonderful and welcoming, which made the entire day so much fun for us to be a part of. We also loved seeing some familiar faces! We photographed Kelly’s bridesmaid Lauren’s wedding a couple of years ago, and we’ll be back with this same crew in October to photograph bridesmaid Kristen’s wedding. We feel pretty lucky that this job keeps bringing us back to the same amazing people!

Kelly and Brian, thank you for trusting us to capture your wedding day and for making it so much fun from beginning to end. We loved celebrating with you both and are so excited to have another excuse to hang out with your crew in October! Congratulations, you two! ❤️🥂

There are some weddings that stay with you long after the last dance and Emily and Anthony's celebration at Regatta Place in Newport was one of them. We first met these two earlier this summer for their engagement session at Beavertail. This is also when we were introduced to their adorable corgi, Penny. We absolutely fell in love with her but unfortunately she didn't receive a wedding invitation! According to Emily and Anthony, Penny has a habit of eating absolutely everything in sight so they decided it was probably best to keep her away from a day filled with flowers, food, and hundreds of opportunities to get herself into trouble. She was missed lol

From the very beginning, this wedding was filled with meaningful moments. Emily shared one of the sweetest stories with us about her grandmother, who once lived in Newport with a view of Regatta Place from her window. As a little girl, Emily would look through her grandmother's binoculars, hoping to catch a glimpse of the brides celebrating their wedding day. Years later, she became one of those brides herself! Those very same binoculars were displayed at the wedding. As if the day couldn't feel any more like Newport, the guys made an unforgettable entrance by arriving to the ceremony aboard Emily's family's boat. Another personal touch for the day!

And then there was Anthony. The moment he saw Emily walking down the aisle, the emotions took over. Even after the ceremony, he couldn't hold back the tears, and honestly, neither could a lot of us. The way these two look at each other, laugh together, and love one another is something truly special. It was such an honor to witness the beginning of this next chapter. Emily and Anthony, thank you for trusting us to capture such an incredible day. Congratulations to you both!

Nicole and Brian’s wedding at the Newport Beach House was one we had been looking forward to for a long time. We first met them during their engagement session in Newport last year, and from that day we knew they were going to be such a fun couple to spend time with. These two have actually known each other since middle school, and it was so sweet to see a relationship with so much history lead them to this moment. The forecast predicting rain all week but the skies completely cooperated and gave them the perfect day to celebrate.

The whole day felt like a true reflection of Nicole and Brian. It was warm, thoughtful, and full of happiness. The Newport Beach House recently had some beautiful updates, and the new decor paired perfectly with their color palette of whites, soft blues, and ch*****ne tones. They had so many fun details throughout the day, including gorgeous signage by Kristen Sardini (wow that seating chart!) and an old-school sticker machine that gave guests little watercolor paintings of Newport locations. It was such a cool and personal touch that fit the Newport vibe perfectly.

One of our favorite parts of the day was just getting to spend time with Nicole and Brian. They are genuinely two of the sweetest people and we clicked with them right away. There were definitely moments where we realized we had been chatting with them for so long that we were probably keeping them from their guests… but they never once made us feel that way 🫶🏻 Their family and friends were just as wonderful and the whole celebration felt like one big group of people who were truly excited to be together. We left the day feeling like we had photographed a wedding, but also like we had spent the day with new friends.

Kate and Jake’s wedding at Glen Manor House was such a meaningful celebration of their love and the start of their next chapter together. After spending time doing long distance, this day marked the moment they finally get to build their life side by side with Kate making the move to California to join Jake. It was clear how much this moment meant to them and to the people who came together to celebrate them. Their ceremony especially meant a lot for them and we loved seeing how intentional they were about creating a day that reflected what matters most to them.

Before the ceremony, Kate and Jake shared a sweet first look outside the church, giving them a quiet moment together while also allowing time for photos in such a meaningful place for them. It was such a special way to slow things down and soak in the meaning of the moment. Afterward the celebration continued at Glen Manor House which was absolutely breathtaking! Botanica created the most incredible floral designs with huge arrangements, vibrant colors, oversized peonies, and gorgeous shades of pink and purple that made the entire space feel romantic and full of life. Mother Nature must have seen all the beautiful colors and followed suit because we even got a rainbow!

With the help of Shannon from SES Events, every detail came together perfectly. From the emotional moments to the stunning design, the day felt like a reflection of Kate and Jake who have been patiently waiting for this moment and were so excited to finally celebrate surrounded by the people who love them most. It was such an honor to document a day that held so much meaning and to be there as they started this next adventure together.
