I ran my second Escarpment Trail Run 30k yesterday & I dedicated it to my friend Alex Chiu. HBD, Alex! 🕊️🤍

You will be forever remembered by your love for your family & friends, your passion for outdoor & adventures, and always doing what you love most!

I ran mostly alone for more than 5 hours in the woods & it’s probably one of the most ideally trail running conditions with perfect temperature, low humidity & dry surfaces. Huge thanks to all the volunteers for your support!

It’s five hours of reflection, soaking in the nature & enjoying what I love most. I kept telling myself how blessed I was despite of my injured back, loss and heartbroken.

To my friends who shared such a beautiful weekend running trails at Catskills with me — Thank you all! 🫶

24 years ago today I arrived in America. There are still English words that I can’t pronounce properly and salad won’t be my first choice. I can definitely make much funnier jokes in Mandarin.

Never did I know I would become a runner later in my life let alone start a trail running group. Running truly brought some of the best people in my life. It has taught to be patient, humble, consistent, resilient & prioritize my energy towards meaningful relationships.

Thank you America, the running community & my friends who have encouraged, supported & believed in me.

I know my grandma would be proud & I miss her dearly!

Can’t wait to celebrate with some hotpot with some precious souls tonight!
