What makes Fourth Fridays feel different?
When we asked our youth what should never change, they didnβt talk about games, activities, or special guests.
They talked about people.
π βItβs a safe place for unique people.β
π βThe people are the most welcoming.β
π βI love the friendships Iβve made.β
π βNever change your positivity.β
π βWe feel accepted.β
π βWe leave happier.β
Those words remind us why Fourth Fridays exists.
The activities help bring everyone togetherβbut itβs the kindness, acceptance, and genuine friendships that keep people coming back.
Thank you to everyone who has helped build this community. We canβt wait to welcome everyone back for another year together.

We asked returning youth:
"What helps new people feel welcome?"
They said:
π Just be yourself.
π Be kind.
π Be open-minded.
π Give people time.
π Make space for everyone.
π The adults make me feel safe.
That's the culture our community has created together.
If September will be your first Fourth Fridays... we're excited to meet you.
And if you're returning... we can't wait to see you again. π

The June Focus Group gave us dozens of ideas.
Some are already becoming reality.
Coming this year:
β More build-your-own meals
β More drink choices
β More vegetarian flexibility
β More opportunities to share
β A mix of guest nights and community nights
Thank you for helping shape Fourth Fridays.
We can't wait for you to see what's ahead.

Summer gave us time to rest, reflect, and plan.
Now we're counting down until we're together again.
Whether you've been coming for years or you're thinking about joining us for the first time...
there's always room for one more.

The deadline for our National School Climate Survey has been extended to Oct 7 midnight PT, September 30!
If youβre LGBTQIA2S+ and 13+ and attended grades K-12 in the U.S. during the 2025β26 school year, there is still time to share your experience in schools before the survey closes.
Responses are anonymous and help us advocate for safer and more affirming schools.
If youβre an adult or ineligible for the survey, share this post with someone who is. Tag someone in the comments who you think could help improve schools for LGBTQIA+ youth!
Check our bio for the survey link.
