"Can I talk to you about politics?" is a huge turn-off for many Americans, especially in these fractious times.

That's why we do it differently at Canvassing Connectors. We talk about values, and ask about the people who matter in a potential voter's life.

We feel the difference every time we canvass. Two weeks ago, a widow opened her door just to say that she avoids politics. But by the end of their conversation, she told our organizer Ramiro, "I really appreciated this —it's nice to talk about politics and not have it all be negative."

That's the power of deep canvassing: we create space for real conversations, connection, and hope.
