Your kids don’t need to perform for the camera.

They don’t need to sit perfectly, smile on command, or “act right” for the photos to be beautiful.

Actually, the best photos usually happen when they stop trying to be perfect and start feeling safe enough to be themselves.

The messy giggles.
The snuggles.
The movement.
The tiny personalities that make your family your family.

That’s what I’m looking for.

So when you come into a session with me, you don’t need to worry about forcing the perfect behavior.

I’ve got them.
I’ve got you.
And I promise, the real moments are always the ones worth keeping.

I could have found a hundred reasons not to go.

Too much money.
Too much work to catch up on.
Too much time away.
Too much happening at home.

But I went anyway.

And I’m so glad I did.

Being in a room full of people who are also building, stretching, learning, doubting, and showing up reminded me of something I needed:

The investment is not just in the experience itself.
It is in the person you become because you said yes.

Whether it is education, rest, portraits, artwork, or something else entirely — the things that matter rarely feel convenient at first.

But they do matter.

And sometimes the thing you keep putting off is the very thing that brings you back to yourself.

She deserves to be photographed with intention.

Held in the story.
Printed beautifully.
Remembered exactly as she is in this season.

Mother’s Day is a beautiful time to remind her.

A little reminder before you book photos:

You do not have to know what to wear.

You do not have to know where to go.

You do not have to have your kids magically trained to behave like tiny adults.

You just have to know you want to remember this season.
