I have been alive for 73 years and tonight is the first time that I have witnessed an eclipse of any kind. As I stood in my backyard in the dark, I wondered at the incredible sight of slow motion grandeur taking place before me. I could not stop reciting Psalms 19:1..The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. What a fantastic come to Jesus moment.

I have a request for all my friends. Would you please consider buying this book? https://www.amazon.com/Rising-Phoenix-Shadow-Hanna-Shields/dp/B0GK7C7LVR
I met Hanna and her husband Trenton while in Paris at the Olympics sharing the gospel. Hanna is an excellent writer and her book is a great read if you like clean action and suspense. They are still missionaries and serving the Lord. BUY THE BOOK, READ THE BOOK, and you will help an excellent Author and get a great read. Thank You.

War of the Rising Phoenix (The Shadow Series) War of the Rising Phoenix (The Shadow Series)

This is a comment from a Veteran that I love very much, my Dad Richard Peters who made this statement in a video recognizing the veterans of the Korean War. For me, it stands as a truism regarding all of our conflicts for which our sons and daughters gave their lives for something bigger than themselves. Remember what this weekend is really about, PLEASE!

We know that the eternal battel was enjoined a long time ago, And while the Sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His rising on the third day won the war, until He returns, there are battles every day that we need to fight.
So armor up and fight with the Word of God through prayer!

Trees by Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Why do I share this special poem today? I have loved this poem for most of my life. Joyce Kilmer was killed in 1918 in WWI by a sniper’s bullet, but not before leaving history with these precious words.

These words for me are made even more meaningful now because of the last line; “But only God can make a tree”. It is that Creator God, Jesus Christ who so many centuries ago at sunrise tomorrow, the third day stepped from the grave and back into life, assuring all of humanity of our ability, should we chose, to have life everlasting with our Creator and Savior! After all, only God can make a human!

Very poignant for this Resurrection weekend.
This is one of the greatest presentations of the Gospel I have ever heard. This was Secretary of State at Charlie Kirk's Memorial;
And I would say that taking the liberty, but I'm confident he would agree. One of the things he wants us to take away from this, from all of this, is the following. His deep belief that we were all created, every single one of us, before the beginning of time, by the hands of the God of the universe, an all powerful God who loved us and created us for the purpose of living with him in eternity. But then sin entered the world and separated us from our creator. And so God took on the form of a man and came down and lived among us. And he suffered like men and he died like a man. But on the third day he rose unlike any mortal man.
And then and to prove any doubters wrong, he ate with his disciples so they could see and they touched his wounds. He didn't rise as a ghost or as a spirit, but as flesh.
And then he rose to the heaven. But he promised he would return and he will.
And when he returns, because he took on that death because he carried that cross, we were freed from the sin that separated us from him. And when he returns, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. And we will all be together. And we are going to have a great reunion there again with Charlie and all the people we love. Thank you and God bless you.
