๐ŸŽต๐Ÿพ If your pet had an End-of-Summer Playlist... what songs would be on it?

We have a few guesses... ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐ŸŽถ Who Let the Dogs Out
๐ŸŽถ Sweet Dreams Are Made of Cheese
๐ŸŽถ I Still Haven't Found What I'm Sniffing For
๐ŸŽถ Cats Just Wanna Have Tuna
๐ŸŽถ Every Snack You Take (I'll Be Watching You)
๐ŸŽถ Pour Some Treats on Me
๐ŸŽถ Oops!...I Chewed It Again
๐ŸŽถ Eye of the Tiger (every cat at 3:00 a.m.)

Somehow, every pet's playlist ends with "Time for Dinner" on repeat. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

What song would your pet have on repeat all summer long?

As the emergency crews are assisting the public, they will be bringing animals that they rescue to the clinic. If you are missing a pet, you can call the clinic at 765-778-2909 to see if they have been brought to the clinic. This is the first one they have brought so far. We will also strive to post pictures as they come in. We hope everyone is staying safe!

๐Ÿ•๏ธ๐Ÿพ POV: You planned the perfect camping trip... but your pet had other ideas. ๐Ÿ˜‚

You packed the tent.
Your pet packed the chaos.

โ›บ "Helping" load the car? โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿพ Tracking dirt (or somehow finding mud) within the first five minutes? โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿ‘ƒ Inspecting absolutely everything? โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿฟ๏ธ Determined to investigate every critter, bird, or suspicious leaf? โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿ– Trying to "help" with every meal? โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿ˜ด Completely exhausted after keeping you on your toes all day? Absolutely.

Camping with pets creates some of the best memoriesโ€”but a little preparation helps keep every adventure safe.

Before you hit the trail, remember to:
๐Ÿ’ง Pack plenty of fresh water.
๐ŸฆŸ Keep your pet up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
๐Ÿท๏ธ Make sure their ID tags and microchip information are current.
๐Ÿฉน Bring a pet first aid kit for unexpected scrapes or paw injuries.
๐ŸŒฟ Keep an eye out for wildlife, toxic plants, and other outdoor hazards.

Here's to muddy paws, curious noses, unforgettable adventures, and the kind of camping stories you'll laugh about for years. ๐Ÿ•๏ธโค๏ธ

๐Ÿพ Scratching is a symptomโ€”not a diagnosis.

If your dog can't stop scratching, chewing their paws, rubbing their face, or getting repeated ear infections, it's easy to assume they just have "sensitive skin."

But the truth is, itching is your dog's way of telling you something isn't right.

August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to talk about what could be causing your pet's discomfort.

Common underlying causes include:
๐ŸŒฟ Environmental allergies (pollen, grasses, mold, dust mites)
๐ŸฆŸ Flea allergy dermatitisโ€”even a single flea bite can trigger intense itching in some dogs
๐Ÿฅฉ Food allergies or sensitivities
๐Ÿฆ  Skin infections caused by bacteria or yeast
๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ External parasites such as mites
๐Ÿฉบ Hormonal or endocrine disorders, including hypothyroidism or Cushing's disease, which can affect skin and coat health
๐Ÿงฌ Less commonly, autoimmune skin diseases or other chronic skin conditions

While it may be tempting to treat the itch at home, lasting relief starts with identifying the root cause. Every dog is different, which is why the best treatment depends on what's causing the problem in the first place.

If your dog has been scratching more than usual, don't ignore it. We're here to help determine what's behind the itch and create a treatment plan that helps your pet find lasting comfortโ€”not just temporary relief.

Because every dog deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin. โค๏ธ

โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿถ Can Dogs Get Sunburned? The answer surprises a lot of pet owners: Yes!

While we often remember sunscreen for ourselves, it's easy to forget that some dogs are just as vulnerable to the sun's harmful rays.

Dogs at the highest risk include:
๐Ÿพ White or light-colored coats
๐Ÿพ Pink noses and lightly pigmented skin
๐Ÿพ Thin-haired or hairless areas, such as the belly, ears, and around the eyes

Just like people, repeated sun exposure can cause painful sunburn and may even increase the risk of certain skin conditions over time.

If your dog loves spending time outdoors, try to provide plenty of shade, avoid the strongest midday sun when possible, and ask your veterinarian whether a pet-safe sunscreen is appropriate for your dog's lifestyle.

A little extra sun protection can go a long way toward keeping your best friend comfortable all summer long. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿพ POV: You're just trying to eat a bag of chips...
..and suddenly everyone in the house remembers you exist. ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŸ

It starts with one stare.

Then another.

Before you know it, you've got a dog sitting perfectly, a cat pretending they don't care (while inching closer), and every crunch somehow sounds like the dinner bell.

We may not know exactly how pets can hear a snack bag from three rooms away... but we're pretty sure it's one of their greatest superpowers. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Whether they're hoping for a bite or simply convinced every snack belongs to them, our pets always know how to make us laugh. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿพ Making friends with a dog is a process.

Step 1: Approach slowly.

Step 2: Assume a completely ridiculous position.

Step 3: Hope for tail wags and acceptance. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ƒ Psst... my nose has an important message for you.

Go ahead. Zoom in.

We'll wait. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Let's just say it has something to do with staying healthy, feeling great, and making the most of summer.

And honestly, we'd trust the nose. After all, it's never wrong about snacks.
