Today, our PreK classes welcomed Senior Communication Administrator for the City of Perry, Tabitha Clark, to read one of her favorite books to them!📚

Tabitha works very closely with Mayor of Perry, Randall Walker, and he sent some very special surprises with her for our PreK students. She gifted them with City of Perry activity books and “honorary council member” stickers!

Thank you, Mrs. Clark, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come read to our littlest Tigers. We appreciate you and all you do for our city!🐯💙

Today, for our second day of this fun PreK Week, our PreK students had a special visit from Fire Prevention Chief Wheeler of the Perry Fire Department! He read to our PreK classes and taught our little Tigers some important fire safety tips. 🔥🧯

We are so thankful to Chief Wheeler for spending time reading to our students and helping them learn how to stay safe! 🐯🚒🧡

What's Happening this week at TES?🐯💙

Congratulations to our September Teacher and Support Staff of the Month!🎉💙

🐯 Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Lee

Mrs. Lee is always cheerful and welcoming and she always has a smile for everyone. She always meets and serves all students with kindness. She always shines her caring and compassionate light towards all students throughout the building. She shares her kind attitude with staff and students. Mrs. Lee is always so pleasant and kind to everyone in the building. She has a heavy caseload and still chooses kindness even when her days are full and sometimes hectic. Every time Mrs. Lee picks up her students for speech she always welcomes them with a smile and a hug if they want one. Mrs. Lee is always so helpful and kind to the students and everyone she works with. Mrs. Lee is a joy to work with at TES!

🐯 Support Staff of the Month: Ms. Varcoe

Ms. Varcoe is like a ray of sunshine! She is always kind and encouraging to her students as well as those who work alongside her. Anytime someone passes her in the hall, she always has kind words and motivation to share. She is always spreading kindness with a smile on her face. She speaks so kindly to her students and staff everywhere she goes. She is as kind as they cam and she is always a smile away and always finds a way to point out the good things. She has such a radiant and positive light to adults and to students. She offers positivity at every turn. We enjoy having Ms. Varcoe here at TES!

Thank you to these staff members for always showing their Tiger Pride in all that they do and always being kind and dreaming big! We appreciate you and all that you do!🧡

Today, to kick off PreK Week, we were so excited to welcome Dr. Walter Stephens as a special guest reader! Our PreK students loved listening to a great story and spending time with a community member who values the importance of reading 📖💙

To make the day even more special, Dr. Stephens generously purchased a book for every one of our PreK students to take home! What a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading both at school and at home. 🥰📚

Thank you, Dr. Stephens, for sharing your time, your love of reading, and such a thoughtful gift with our Tigers!🐯🧡

Reminder: October 9 is a student holiday. Our district will be closed October 12-16 for Fall Break.
