Perryton Ranger Football

The goal of each week is to continue to improve and I thought we took another positive step forward. The boys executed the gameplan well and there were some great things we saw on film today. The Rangers get to enjoy Ranger stadium the next two weeks and it starts with our Hall of Fame game next week against Childress. Here are some of the stats from the game lastnight.

Offense

Rustin Newman- 17 carries for 87 yards, 14 completions on 18 attempts for 136 yards passing and 2 TDS

Gordo Estrada- 7 catches for 87 yards and a TD

Aiden Mitchell- 3 catches for 39 yards and a TD

Noel Herrera- 1 rushing TD

Defense

Aren Puentes- 3 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 QB pressures, 1 safety

Kane Kinney- 1 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 2 QB pressures

Konner Stroup- 5 assisted tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception, 2 QB pressures, 1 defensive TD

Rustin Newman- 3 assisted tackles

Jakobi Sandoval- 5 assisted tackles

Noel Herrera- 5 assisted tackles

Alex Grajeda- 5 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 QB pressure

Rangers hit the road tonight to take on the Guymon Tigers. Kickoff is set for 7 pm and it will be free admission for all spectators tonight. We hope everyone can make the drive over to Guymon.

We are honored to continue our tradition our 12th man for all regular season games. Coach Chavlovich has made a major impact on the lives of so many of our boys. He has a vibrant personality that resonants throughout our entire department. He does a tremendous job in his PE classrooms each year as well. We are thankful for the relationships that coach builds with all of our athletes and students. We are blessed to have you in our corner coach. Thank you for everything you do for our program. Mrs. Trevizo is a major advocate of our football program and our athletic department. She always has a positive outlook on every situation and truly wants the best for each of her students. We are blessed to have her son on our team. It’s easy to see the character development and respect she has instilled in her son. I am almost certain this is the same things that are taking place in her classroom as well. Thank you for being such a positive light Mrs. Trevizo. We can’t wait to take the field with both of our 12th man selections this evening.

Special thanks to the First Methodist Church for hosting the Rangers this morning for team breakfast. The old saying is so true. It takes a village to raise these young men. We are blessed with one of the best villages around. Thank you Mr. Yeary and staff for opening your doors to us this morning.

We are honored to continue our tradition our 12th man for all regular season games. Toby Brown is loved and revered by his students. He does a tremendous job of connecting with students and building relationships in the classroom. He has a huge heart and is willing to help serve at a moments notice. You can catch him these days helping run the scoreboard at football games or taking in the game as a band dad. We are blessed to have Toby leading our youth at PHS. Mrs. Estrada has played a huge role in the development of our young students at Williams elementary over the years. She always finds a way to bring the joy of sports to here gym classroom. She is also a huge asset to our football program with the role she takes on with the booster club. She helps organizes meals, pictures, and the overall game day experience. She is one of the hardest workers in our district and we are blessed to have her on our team. We can’t wait to take the field with both of our 12th man selections this evening.
