Yesterday, we spent the day at the Collingsworth County Museum in Wellington for another great directors meeting!

They have so many unique, artifacts and fascinating pieces of history, including some Bonnie and Clyde memorabilia that are definitely worth seeing.
We always enjoy getting together with all the museum directors, and learning more about the history of our area. 🏛️🪶

⛏️ Get ready to dig into the past! 🏺
Archaeology Day is back at the Museum of the Plains on Saturday, October 10! 🌞
Kids will get hands-on with history as they make clay pinch pots, try their hand at throwing an atlatl, dig for artifacts, play a traditional Native American game, and create their own calendar.
It’s one of our favorite events and a great way for kids to learn about the past while having fun!

For years, these two incredible horse sculptures have been part of the Museum of the Plains. Each sculpture was carved from a single log by artist J. Chester Armstrong.
A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of welcoming Armstrong back to the museum alongside his wife and Mr. Courson, who donated the sculptures. Seeing Armstrong standing beside the horses he created so many years ago was a truly special moment.🐴
