Our Mini Med Campers stepped into the role of first responders! đŠşđ
Campers explored how doctors use splints and slings to keep injured arms and legs safe and supported until patients can receive additional medical care. They compared different support devices, tested materials for strength and comfort, and engineered their own splints for doll and stuffed animal patients.
Through hands-on problem-solving, campers practiced critical thinking, teamwork, and real-world STEM skills while learning how emergency care helps protect injured patients.
Every Woodsyâs STEM Adventures Travel STEM lesson begins with a brand-new Mission Card!
The Mission Card introduces students to the STEM career of the day and explains the challenge they must complete alongside Woodsy. It helps set the stage for an exciting, hands-on adventure filled with problem-solving, creativity, and discovery.
Each class features a different mission, giving students a new STEM career and challenge to explore every time we visit!
