My favorite time of the year is when these little guys come back! This time, I tried using my Insta360 GO Ultra with the macro lens to capture all the fine details of the hummingbirds.
It was a total success, not to mention they were even eating right out of my hand! Using the camera body as a monitor made it so much easier to nail the framing, and shooting at 240fps gave me all the flexibility I needed to slow things down in post-production. Love them!

Morocco is a kingdom defined by its colors; the cobalt of Chefchaouen, the ochre of Marrakech, and the gold of the Sahara. But in black and white, the noise fades, and the soul of the culture speaks louder.
Without the distraction of color, you see the timeless etchings in the architecture, the depth of a craftsman’s gaze, and the raw rhythm of the medina. Stripping away the hues doesn’t dull the spirit; it makes the heritage stand out in its purest form.

It’s funny to realize that as I get older, I’m becoming more fascinated by birds, from their behavior to their anatomy. I suppose I’m just envious of their ability to fly! 😅
It was pretty amazing seeing so many black kites flying and fishing all over Ha Long Bay.

Captured these at the summit of Dragon Mountain in Ninh Binh. The trek up was brief but intense, with a quick, steep incline. The payoff at the top was incredible!

The Go Ultra has been a total game changer for capturing BTS shots. It’s incredibly simple, intuitive, and such a discreet little camera that people forget it’s even there. Whether I’m clipping it to my shirt or mounting it in tight spots, it catches all the raw “behind the scenes” magic without the bulk of a full rig. Massive vibes in a tiny package. 👌🏽📸
