A good warm-up is more than just getting your heart rate up.
Yes, we want to increase body temperature and get you moving — but that’s only the beginning.
At PrideFit, our warm-ups usually have a purpose behind each piece:
Metabolic → increase heart rate and body temperature
Mobility → move through the ranges of motion you’ll need
Activation → get key muscles working before we load them
Primer → rehearse movement patterns and prepare for the workout ahead
Power → add some speed and explosiveness while you’re fresh
Then we train.
Not every warm-up needs to be long or complicated, and we don’t need every piece every single time. The goal is simply to prepare you for what you’re about to do — not tire you out before the workout even starts.
Your warm-up should prepare you to perform, not just make you sweat.

50 visits. Consistent effort. Results worth celebrating. 💪
Anthony is down 21 pounds and 4 inches at his waist, with leaner measurements across the board and more muscle showing. His upper- and lower-body lifts have gotten significantly stronger, too.
Even with a son under a year old, Anthony keeps showing up twice a week and putting in the work.
Congrats on 50 visits, Anthony! We’re impressed by your progress and proud of the consistency behind it. 👏🦁

Free weights are great — but they’re not automatically the best tool for every exercise or every goal.
Machines provide more stability, which can allow you to focus more on the muscle you’re trying to train and put a high level of effort into the set without balance or coordination becoming the limiting factor.
They’re also a great way to add quality training volume without every exercise requiring the same technical demands as a free-weight movement.
That doesn’t make machines better than free weights — or free weights better than machines.
Good programming is about choosing the right tool for the goal.
Fall Reset isn’t a group fitness class where everyone walks in and does the same workout.
You get your own program. Your own starting point. And coaching throughout the process.
When you join us for Fall Reset, you’ll get:
✔️ An individualized training program based on your goals and experience
✔️ Personal coaching every time you train
✔️ Help choosing the right weights and progressing your exercises
✔️ The structure and accountability to stay consistent
✔️ 2–3 training sessions per week for 4 weeks
Your job is simple:
Show up. Follow the plan. Build the routine.
Fall Reset is 4 weeks for $199.

The scale is up 3 lbs after the weekend.
Did you gain 3 lbs of body fat? Almost certainly not.
That would require a pretty extreme calorie surplus over just a couple of days.
What you’re seeing on Monday morning is much more likely a combination of:
More food volume.
More carbs.
More sodium.
More water.
But that doesn’t mean the weekend didn’t matter.
You may have worked hard Monday through Friday to create a calorie deficit… only to wipe out most—or all—of that deficit with a couple of dinners out, drinks, football food, and a weekend with less structure.
So don’t panic over Monday morning’s number.
But don’t ignore your weekends either.
You don’t need to be perfect 7 days a week. You just need enough structure that your weekend doesn’t undo the work you put in all week.
Get back to your normal routine today. 👊
An injury doesn’t mean you need to stop training. It means you may need to change HOW you train.
After more than 20 years as a physical therapist—and years spent helping people improve their strength, fitness, performance, and physique—I’ve learned that there doesn’t always need to be a hard line between “rehab” and “training.”
Rehab IS training.
It’s finding what your body can tolerate today, appropriately loading the involved tissue, and progressively building its capacity over time.
Respect the injury. Don’t fear it.
Modify when necessary. Load appropriately. Progress gradually. Build strength and confidence.
If you’re returning to the gym after an injury, find someone who understands the injury—but also understands how to train you beyond it.
The goal isn’t just to get you out of pain. It’s to get you back to being strong and capable.
