Gotta love millennials attempting voiceovers!

Modeling AAC doesn’t mean making a child press the button before they get what they’re asking for.

If a student is shaking their cup, reaching, or showing you they want a drink, they’re already communicating! Our job is to model another way they can communicate that message by pressing “drink” for them.

No pressure. No requiring them to imitate. Just modeling and showing them what’s possible.

Another reminder we’re all human. As professionals and Moms we understand the difficulties to keep up with every day life and never expect you to do it all.

We share a lot of strategies here, but this is your reminder that you don’t always have to be doing something.

Sometimes, just let your kid play, get frustrated, make a mess, and be creative! Just letting them be kids.

It’s important for us to build rapport with parents. It’s all about letting them know they’re heard, supported, and understood in the process.

Back with Teacher Luke! Using a talker in a busy calssroom can be a lot for teachers to manage.

There’s a device to learn, students to support, and a whole classroom happening at once.

That’s why clear, specific support matters.

Sometimes it’s as simple as breaking it down, modeling one word at a time, and giving teachers a clear plan for what comes next.

Less information all at once. More support that feels doable.
