Some of the MOST important timeline decisions happen weeks and months before your wedding day ever arrives. When I work with couples, we’re looking at the whole day, not just the ceremony and reception. Getting ready, hair & makeup, transportation, details, first looks, family photos, cocktail hour, room flips, vendor arrivals, meal service, speeches, dancing… *exhale* all of those moving pieces have to work together!
A good timeline isn’t just about making sure everything fits. It’s about creating a day that feels good to the newlyweds. You shouldn’t have to spend your wedding day wondering what’s happening next, tracking down vendors, or realizing you only have five minutes for the photos you really wanted. This is why I start the important conversations so early, build the timeline thoughtfully, communicate with your vendor team, and continue refining the plan as your wedding gets closer.
When the logistics are handled behind the scenes, you get to be fully present for the moments happening in front of you!

A public service announcement for couples who are wondering, “…when am I actually supposed to book my planner?!” The timelines in this post are not hard deadlines! We’re happy to work with you wherever you are in the planning process. That said, the earlier you reach out, the better - especially when it comes to availability!
For Wedding Management specifically, while our service begins 90 days before your wedding, we actually recommend reaching out around a year in advance whenever possible. There’s always a chance that we’re already booked for your date within six months of it!
So think of these timelines as:
- Wedding Management: Ideally book ~1 year out (service begins 90 days out)
- Partial Planning: At least 1 year out
- Full Planning: 18–24 months out…
& speaking of availability…! Our Spring 2027 calendar is officially booked! Which is so exciting! If you’re planning a Summer or Fall 2027 wedding, now is a really good time to get in touch with us.
Again, there’s no “too late” or “too early” here. We’ll let you know what’s possible and figure out the best fit for where you are on your wedding planning journey!
