Just steps from home, 9-year-old Erica Forney was riding her bike in a designated bike lane when a neighbor, distracted by a phone call, drifted into the bike lane and struck her with an SUV. Erica died two days later from her injuries.

Erica was a joyful fourth grader who loved animals, science, art, and spending time with her sisters. She brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever she went.

In June of 2022, Joseph "Joe" Kunder left for his short motorcycle ride to work but never made it. A distracted driver, rushing to turn behind a truck, failed to see Joe and struck him.

Joe was a husband, father, grandfather, and a man of deep faith. He loved helping others, could fix just about anything, and was deeply loved by his family and friends.

🕊️ Remembering Javier Zamora

Javier Zamora was driving with his daughter when another driver, reaching for her phone, crossed the center line and struck their vehicle head-on. Javier was killed in the crash.

Raised in East Los Angeles, Javier was the youngest of nine siblings and proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard. He had deployed to Iraq as a helicopter door gunner and was preparing for another deployment when his life was cut short.

Javier loved his family, off-roading, and riding his motorcycle. Please remember Javier and the lives forever changed by one moment of distraction.
