cinematic adventures

This is the man who I ran past every day who inspired my story The Weight of Illusion. The character of Cora runs past him everyday he shouts out to her “ how are you so good to see you! She responds. They eventually speak. I used to run past him and now walked past him today and we finally had a conversation. His name is Lionel and he is from Trinidad and Tobago. He loved his grandmother. He was a cook at Fairview on Bethlehem Pike that is why he still wears protective gloves. He can’t remember when he stopped working. I had goosebumps talking to him and now I have more of a sense of why this person moved me so much made me feel safe. He has lived in Germantown for thirty years. He shared how much it has changed. He has definitely seen a lot. Thank you Lionel ! We will have more conversations I am certain! As a writer/filmmaker you never know what will inspire you to write. Trust in your own voice and always be present however hard it might be
