Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center
Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center is located at 419 Green Lane (rear) In short, we are artists bringing people together.
Our mission is to develop, for both members and the general public of all ages, an appreciation of, and skill in, producing fine arts, literary expression, and related creative and cultural endeavors. We are committed to fostering and making accessible the visual, spoken and performance arts to both local and the greater Philadelphia community. MRAC’s goal is to serve as a meeting place for the arts and to connect artists, writers and those with similar interests with each other in the community. Support for MRAC provided in part by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund.

The Art of the Portrait: An Exhibition
Join us for October’s Show, featuring portraits of MRAC members, family, and friends!
Additionally, there will be an Artists’ panel at 3:00 pm. MRAC will also be open for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours, with free workshops and music in the courtyard!
There will be light refreshments. The show is free and open to the public.

Save the Date! Join MRAC for Art After Dark: Halloween on
October 30th, from 5-8pm.
Come join us for a fun-filled evening of spooky festivities and crafts! See our themed art walk, listen to a dramatic reading, and strike a pose at the photo booth. Make multiple art projects with our artist volunteers! Our friends from Frios will have their gourmet pops available for purchase. Candy-free goody bags for all children, and some surprises for the grownups!
All ages welcome, $10/person, free for two and under.

Mark your calendars! MRAC is open for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) on October 10 and 11. We have a full lineup of events during the weekend. Come check out the art center, watch our artists at work, participate in a workshop, and learn how to get involved at the Art Center!
Saturday October 10:
Our members will be painting in the Atelier. Come observe and take part in a “Making Faces” workshop!
Sunday, October 11:
Our monthly show opens with a reception from 1:00-4:00 pm, featuring portraits of members and friends by MRAC artists! Nothing Wrong Band will be performing in the courtyard starting at 1:00 pm. Hang around until 3:00 pm for our artists panel!
All events during the weekend are free to attend.

Food is never just fuel. It is a mirror of culture, a language of memory, and a map of human connection. This exhibition explores how daily sustenance shapes our identities, bridges communities, and acts as a canvas for social commentary.
