💚🐐 Goats for the greater good 🐐💚
Providing the greater Philadelphia area with outdoor goat-centered wellness and educational experiences and ecological opportunities.
The wedding aka birthday cake is done! 🎂
As you can see, the goats love it already. 😍
Come by The Farm at Awbury Arboretum to see it for yourself sunrise to sundown year round (although heads up the goats go to sleep around 7pm 🐐💤).
Welcome, King James! 👑
-Teddy and the rest of the goat squad 🐐
No pooping on the wedding cake 💩🐐🎂😂

Yesterday the Philly Goat Project team and Naila Francis helped to create a supportive space for over 50 community members who gathered to address grief and loss. Naila Francis led our gathering with joy and grace, helping each of us to build connection and find solace in the day.
At Philly Goat Project, we’re committed to providing accessible resources such as this for free every season. Our Grief Garden is always open, and our Fall Grief Walk will take place on September 26.
Please know you are always welcome here. If someone in your life could use a little extra support, we hope you’ll share this unique resource with them. 🐐💚

‼️ Friendly reminder that our grief walk is now tomorrow, Sunday, July 19 due to weather ‼️
Sunday, July 19
12pm-2pm
Our 2-hour program with grief coach Naila Francis of Naila Francis starts right at 12pm with a brief guided meditation. Then we will embark on a quiet 30-minute walk through the arboretum, with a few stops along the way for reflection. Our last hour of the program is devoted to an “open sharing” activity. This activity is based off of each person’s individual comfort. Every part of our program is optional and is not required.
Our summer event’s theme is Tending Together.
We welcome anyone to join us, regardless of loss and regardless of time since the loss.
FREE, all ages, no reservations needed. Just come.

Here’s a little peek at Ray’s recent therapy session. 🙌🤩
He’s strong, healthy, and doing great. Our current goal is building up his muscle so he’s ready for winter. If we have another season where snow and ice limit how much he can walk, having that extra strength will help him stay healthy.
We’re so grateful to the donors who make Ray’s therapy and ongoing care possible. Thank you for helping keep him happy and exercised. 💚

Today we hosted our FIRST EVER Storybook Second Sunday! 📚🐐
Our friends nodded, clapped, stomped, sang and READ with us. It was a very special time that we had together! Thank you for the reader friends for helping to inaugurate our outdoor classroom!
Storytime Second Sunday is possible with a grant from the Justamere Foundation, and we are very grateful for the community support. 💚
We hope to see our friends next month when we will have our amazing author friend, Marni Fogelson, read her book “The Girl Who Heard the Music” on Sunday, August 9 from 10am-11am. Mark your calendar! 📖🗓️
