Airy Kitchens

When designing around historic windows, we balance preserving the original details with making the space work for today. Sometimes that means designing around funky dimensions, and when we replace a window, we carry the historic design language throughout the home.

We wanted the new pieces in this bathroom to feel collected rather than overly polished, pairing mural wallpaper and a warm wood vanity with classic penny tile. The original radiator adds another layer of history and character to the space.

Our new collection of cabinetry door styles is available in our signature paint colors, including Oyster Green and French Blue.

See the full collection on our website or visit our Mount Airy showroom to see the new doors and paint colors in person.

Anyone else addicted to glass-front cabinetry? It brings character and texture to a space, and lets our collections become part of the design.
Don’t want everyone seeing your dishes? Consider textured or frosted glass as a way to offer a sneak peek without putting everything on display.

A main kitchen for gathering and a separate workspace to keep the mess tucked away isn’t a new idea. Working in older homes, we take cues from historic layouts, especially when they make cleanup easier.

This Chestnut Hill kitchen design started with the homeowners’ love of bold color and pattern. We helped them pick cabinetry, finishes, and explored multiple layouts. Then we added smart storage with a baking station, microwave drawer, and Shaker pegs. They decided to take a risk with a whimsical checkerboard backsplash, and the result feels personal and special, just the kind of room we love to create!
